I am currently in my second year of medical school; pursuing a specialty in neuro, or family medicine w/ sub-specialty in neuro for low income areas. I love this thread, I too have been curious too see what others are pursuing on this server.

3rd Year College, Major in Psychology... I find everything in a person or human fascinating~

Every bit of it, but I need to be careful to not overthink... or else I'll see the Madness of this world. (even tho I am well aware of it, just need to not overthink or else it'll drive me insane).
I try to keep a clear mind to balance everything out, like a Yin and Yang. :D

The hardest thing in being a psychology major is.. to reach out to others when you have a problem.
You try to reason out to yourself, and understand yourself before reaching out to others.

Weak point: Tendency to become too selfless, that you forget to take care of your own well being.

"The hardest thing in life is to understand a person, and staying sane yourself." But hey someone's gotta do it.

Psychology: The Madness within the Rainbow.

Thinking if I should be a Doctor... while the other one a traveler that helps people freely, than just sitting on a desk and milking out money to people who can't afford my kind of help.

    That's all~

In another life I'd be a psychiatrist. I'm VERY good at reading people, and knowing their emotions/thoughts and working around and through it. However, you can be a doctor and not work in a cubicle seeing X number of patients in Y amount of time.

With a psych degree it sets you up to pursue a LOT of careers, and ultimately it boils down to how good you interview and if you have decent grades. Find a field you like and as long as you have the pre-reqs for the program, you can get a BS or BA in literally anything and be golden. Hell, I'm in pharm school with a dancing major.

I'm a BS Psychology, good in reading people also. Why did you pick to study in Pharma School, if you want to be a dancer?
Dancing, probably one of the things I wanna learn.. but shy hahaha :p

Oh I'm not the dancing major. Someone else in my class is. I have a BS in Medical Biology and philosophy, a lot more traditional for someone in my field.

oooh Philosophy gotta love it... so many interesting things in that subject. It's traditional there to learn medical biology?

Most people have some sort of biology, chemistry, or biochem degree. Mine was biology but with a focus on human anatomy and genetics instead of ecology and taxonomy, etc.

Hate to say, but I do kind of miss that type of stuff. I'm currently sitting in my pharmaceutics class and we're learning about pseudo-plastics.
