So everyone knows JMS had the exclusive Pachinko Arcade in Showa Town, the mini games worked sort of like Gachapon but more like the Magic Wheel that was actually in GMS for a little while, then went unused after a coin event or something. Anyway, I walked by Showa town and the building for it is still there (No portal) I was wondering if it's possible to somehow get it in royals? I understand it will need translating, but I think it would be a kinda nifty event every once in a while! Photos found on the Web (Not my pictures) Spoiler Sorry for the small photos, anyway here is the building in Royals Spoiler EDIT: I found a video kinda showing how it worked in JMS
Thanks, this is something I distinctly remember from JMS but never saw the light outside of Japan. From what I've gathered I believe the map data and npc data can be found in an old JMS client which then could possibly translated to work in Royals. However, I'm not entirely sure what version in JMS this was released and what the equivalent would be for out v62 or potentially v83 < New source. Side note: I would absolutely love to play this, it's one of the more unique old maple things I've come across and frankly, it's cool.
Hm, I remember hearing of this when I played jMS but never got around to trying it, even though it may be some work, I think it would be nice to have some fun with this one.
Don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure things like this are embedded in the JMS client itself and not found in any other edition's clients. If the data isn't in the client itself, it cannot just be imported into another client. I really like Pachinko and would love to see it myself, but as far as I know, it is technically impossible at the current time to implement.
I'm still a little confused on the embedded part though, would that mean the area just doesn't exist in JMS files? I'm a little confused on how that would work out for the players..
The map and NPC would be able to be added into the game, but Pachinko itself needs to be coded into the client (both the packet to show the UI for it, and the UI itself), as GMS doesn't have it programmed into its client. That's not something we can do without a custom client, but it's definitely something to consider adding if/when we have a custom client in the works.
