Notice Patch 01/01/17

Assuming that this new source patch will seemingly replicate the old MS, I can see it happening as this feature didn't exist back then.

 

I'm super excited at new source finally being here!!!

Now just to figure out what I'm supposed to do for the 24 hours the server is offline!

 

A patch that starts on New Year, 1 minute after midnight, and lasting for 1 whole day. NEW SOURCE CONFIRMED.

 

Will there be new NX items? The cash shop has always seemed neglected. I think with Royals being a nostalgic server and most content remains the same over a long course of time without much addition, maybe more frequent updates to the cash shop might bring some fresh air for some of us. I can't be the only one with this on the top of my new sauce wish list...

 

I'm not sure when it was, but I believe that in one of the New Source forum posts they mentioned having new CS items

Ok thanks, I'm hoping to see new hairstyles too. My 2017 RP budget has been allocated. All that's left is for the new sauce patch to drop.

 

Will the exp needed to level up be increased or decreased in the new source?

 

After new source,the need to gfx still stays during boss runs, or nah?

 

Hopefully not, but I guess we shall see!

 

If we had to GFX, is that a source code error or just that our computers can't handle the graphical intensity of maplestory?

so if i'm 99.98% going into the new source, will I be auto-levelled up?

 

Will our skill point get resetted in new source?

 

As far as I know, we will get a full SP reset for all of our SP.

 

I believe you will remain at 99.98%, while killing any one monster will level you up.
I think the best way to benefit from this, if any, would be to remain at around 90% exp, such that your total exp would likely exceed the level requirement post-update thereby boosting you up to 99.98% instead (I may be wrong though).

 

In the beta for the new source my bishop was a level higher than it was on the current source. Not sure if that's what will happen when the new source comes out though.

 

I remember after the update in ems, i logged in to see my chars at 99.98%, and killing a mob like chance said was enough to level up. I think it would be pretty stupid and unfair if people would randomly level up several levels after the update.
