any eta on the patch notes?

 

It's okay, I mean, it's just less than a week from all the 365 days, be patient people. The world is not going to end for 5 hours more.

Thanks for all the hard work, as a learning programmer I can relate to how stressfull something like this probably is. A status update (extend of patch note) a bit before the scheduled time (< ~30 min) would be awesome though, and it would save some website issues

they could just extend the patch for a couple of months until everything worked fine, until then we'd have old source

What's 5 hours? We waited for an eternity. Might as well make it 5 more years at this point, right? Guys?

Jokes aside, let's hope all of us survive the last 5 hours to see the new sauce.

 

Can't you guys just keep the server offline untill everything is ready, so you won't dissapoint everyone every time? Isn't it better to have everything fully working, so u don't have to do server checks every day or every 2days.
I mean im pretty sure most of the people would understand and would love to see a fully working server instead of a server that's still buggy.
Who cares if the server is offline for 1 week or a bit longer. There is more in life than Mapleroyals.

 

He have same thinking. But whats is done can not be undone. Maybe next time they will be more clear.

Well, that's the market right there. (It's only my opinion).
If people told that server will be offline for a month or so, a huge percentage would leave and would never return. That ain't be good for people, who controls the money of the server, ain't it?
It is just thinking of me.

 

I dont mind waiting at all, I mean, I like that I could go on tonight to socialize maybe, but still, dont mind waiting

BUT... Patch Notes Hype!!!

 

The new source is the biggest meme in the MapleRoyals community there ever has been. Why don't you just get the old source back up and running and let the playerbase at least have something to enjoy. A long time ago you announced that the new source would only be released if it was completely ready. Now you say you haven't even implemented the game's main features.

God, what the fuck is this trolling. It's so highly unprofessional and disrespectful to your playbase. I get the fact that you don't get shit from running this server, but with such a huge playerbase, most people would expect you to deliver, when you announce something so fucking big.

The worst part is, you put down the main server, to test your new source instead of having a second VPS or even personal computer which you can test out the new source on, with the staff. Even though you're providing a free service, a free game, it's incredible how you don't live up to any of the players' expectations.

I wouldn't be surprised if I got banned for this post, but that would only prove my point. I'm expecting an apology or a proper statement from the staff for letting us down, delay after delay. I'm not quite sure you'll deliver though.

 

The reason they're choosing to release the new source buggy is because of how long the game has already been unavailable. People who want to play so very badly will be able to, and those who don't want to play buggy mess can wait like they would normally for more stable releases. There's little downside to them releasing the buggy source first.
