Hi everyone, My in game name is Rhumu, I haven't made a forum post before but I do lurk in the shoutbox from time to time. My brother and I found this game a few weeks before the new source update and we love this era of maple just like you guys do. I just wanted to remind everyone that this is an independent project by people who also love this game. What they are trying to do with the new source code is truly amazing! Let's be patient and supportive and understanding! We're rooting for you guys! Thank you to the whole MapleRoyals team for working so hard on this great game!
Agreed, this is a free, non pay to win server, so the least we could do is understand they are doing the best they can. people treat it like its running on hundreds of thousands of $, while it's only really running on a few thousand. though that is a guess, and i'm assuming its no more then a few thousand.
There is still lots to do even without Gachapon, Trading, and FM. I am perfectly fine grinding on my own for a few levels. No FM means I am not tempted to spend MESO on stupid purchases or try my luck at scrolling. I do hope I can access the Cash Shop ASAP, I need to buy some AP resets to wash my character.
I can't imagine the mass gaching the day cash shop is back...I hope it will not screw up the economy, White\Chaos scroll\end game equips and the prices in general. I mean, everybody who is over lvl 50 (and now most people are grinding\doing quests so it's a piece of cake to get to that level) is going to gach with at least 300k NX when the cash shop gets fixed. That's 350 tickets each player, assuming they had no NX before the new source. And that is for each player on the server, not just your solo 400 tickets gach... Now imagine those who had... We have around 1k players on our server, that's a lot of mass gacha...TONS of gach stuff may flood the market and mess things up. IMO the GMs should make a week or 2 when gaching is limited to 35\70 tickets per account.
I'm still unsure what everyone's going on about. It's a 24 hour patch and should be a seamless transition to the new source
You are by reporting bugs, so that they can improve the performance of the game in more ways and quicker. Or apply to be a GM
right reporting bugs is one way to get the server done quicker. But I mean maybe they need help to fix the missing functions like FM, Cash Shop and so on since its taking so long. Or are they keeping it until the rest got fixed because its saver?

Yea I would have interest to apply as a GM if they instruct me so I know how to code a game server. Idk what they dealing with yet.
The problem lies with the fact that having too many developers makes things a bit messy. Its better to have one lead developer (Kevin) and a few people helping out with minor fixes etc. (Matt/Andreas).
