Thanks for the GMs that have worked hard at moderating/coding the new source. You know who you are. But also shame to those on the GM team that were advertising the new source update would be 100% in 24 hours, which is now currently 10% of a year and only partially complete. I get that it's a privilege we all get our hands on a 2nd chance to play a v62 server, but I feel like we the players deserve a heck of a lot better than having been lied to. Regardless, I still wish the best for the server, it's definitely good and there are good GMs and a good community. In my opinion it's just better for me not to spend my time and energy on a game run by a group of volunteers that can't advertise launch dates correctly. No shout-outs, you know who you are and what we did, it was fun. Kindest regards, Rey
I hope you do come back once the server is fixed and all functionalities are restored. I wouldn't give away the gear you worked so hard for.
Not really dramatic, just laying down simple facts. I made this post because most of my buddies that may or may not still be playing, are usually offline, so I'd rather write a good bye here where they can see it instead of logging in for them. Many members of my friends & alliance mates have already left for other servers due to the incomplete status of the server, so I wanted to post this for transparency that as far as I know, the community that I play with, is not ok with this. I mean you can even check the original patch note threads where the GMs specifically state what features are going to be released and in what amount of time, but I'd say a good half of them were either late or have still yet to be released. As always there's still room for the GM's to grow, and time to fix the server, but me and many others have decided to permanently step down.
I just wanted to say this: It isnt the GM's that gave the dates. GMs are moderators. We aren't the ones that code, develop things, give launch dates or anything. Plus Matt already explained and gave his apology, and Kevin's been working to fix things as frequent as he can. Nothing much more I can say, that hasn't already been said over and over tbh. Best of luck wherever you go/whatever you do.
Then quit? I dont get what the OP and your point is here by continuting to call out Admins and GM's. They've apologized a million times. They've said they're working as hard as they can to get things back up and running, and we're still flipping out at them?? Shit talking them in the shoutbox and acrossed the forums? I dont get why we're ok with that. Just leave the server and come back in a year if arent willing to wait. If they could snap their fingers and make everything work I'm pretty sure they would do that.
Please keep the posts in this thread polite and on-topic - this is a goodbye thread. I'm sorry that our server has displeased you and hope that wherever you end up makes you happy. It's only a game - no need for anyone to be mad. Play the one you like the best.
Thank you Michael, I witnessed the heated debate on this thread during my lunch break but could not reply and ask for it to stop (as it's not the right place to do so), so i appreciate you stepping in. I'd rather not have the community have such ill will toward moderation but just that communication between GMs with GMs and GMs with the community be more clear next time instead of "false promises." I do think this server has the potential to be one of the best, but with recent events seems like it has lost a bit of it's footing. Best of wishes to you too, Michael.
