Hey guys, I haven't been around in a while (maybe almost a year now) and was simply wondering what's new nowadays. I might consider coming back simply because I miss Maple a lot and loved this community. I see the new source has finally been implemented after quite a while, but it looks like it's no longer available for Mac so that might be an issue. Also, I was just curious as to how many of the older players are still active members of this community? Thanks Edit: I was also wondering if any of the database got deleted so would I still have all of my characters, items, etc?
LOL hi Sila I'd hope that you'd remember me How has the game been lately? I've been looking through posts and it seems like a lot of people are unhappy with the new source?
Pretty much that. It's kind of a long story, but basically new source was re-coded from scratch (again) several months ago, after a promised release date of new years. So when time came to release....it wasn't fully finished. Over time, a lot of things have been fixed. But there are still many things that need to be fixed and finished still too. It's in a semi-playable state depending on what you want to do. If you just want to hang out with people, there's nothing stopping you. No merchants are up yet, no cash shop, and some skills don't work yet. (Most do though). There's some weird d/c issue going on with bossing... but we're trying to narrow down what it is. CS is the thing up next to be fixed. Catch me in discord if you wanna talk more! PM me and I can give you my tag. It's nice to see you again~
Aside from the Cash Shop, a small number of quests, Gachapon; the game is rather functional despite the rough patch of the New Source patch. The only wrinkles noticeable right now are ongoing D/C problems experienced by a portion of the player base and unusable skills of certain classes.
Thanks a lot for all your help It's nice to see you again as well Well if D/C problems are the only thing holding the game back right now then it's about the same as when I played. In fact, I think connection issues have always been a part of this game's culture and the game is more memorable because of it
