Hi Everyone, I am pondering whether to get Final Attack for my 2H BW Page/White Knight. After capping BW mastery (20), Threaten (20), Power Guard (30), and BW Booster (20), I still have 31 skill points left. I understand the reason behind leaving out Final Attack in Sire's Warrior Guide. Final Attack distributes the 250% damage of a FA-follow up slash blast on all 5-6 monsters. https://royals.ms/forum/threads/sires-complete-mapleroyals-warrior-guide.8474/ From my recollection of old school GMS (back in 2007), some pages' builds picked up FA since their 3rd job training continue to depend on Power Strike and Slash Blast. Any thoughts on this? Thanks!
Unless you just simply love the animation and can endure it until level 123 I'd just leave it at level 0. Not only does it weaken Slash Blast, but since it's unpredictable it will also proc when you don't want it to, e.g. after your previous attack has already killed whatever you're fighting.
Players did add points to FA, but it will slow down your training and reduce mobbing dps. It won't make your character unplayable or anything, but it's definitely a sub-optimal build. Put the extra points into Sword Mastery and Sword booster. (Only reason to add is if you like the look or for nostalgia, but I recommend skipping FA.)
I wouldn't do it. Played a Pali pre-big bang in GMS and have a 13x one here. I put FA in on my GMS Pali and didn't really think anything of it. I got here and got to lv. 6x with maxed FA, and realized it ruined my control. So bad I deleted him and started over. You can't plan for FA and it's annoying when it hits like after you already kill a mob. Long story short don't do it. It throws off your groove when training.
I guess it can be useful if you use power strike more than slash blast and mostly train in 1vs1 (like grinding a lot of headless horsemen or something) Usually 3rd job is more about mobbing and not bossing though. In 2007 gms maps had worse spawn and people trained in 1vs1 more
I've never tried BW before, so this is hard to respond too. If you'd go 1 handed, I definitely recommend it, but two hand is an entirely different thing. From what I been told, it slows down attacking progress, but personally I see it as a 60% chance of attacking for FREE! it's my OWN oppinion, but I say go for it. not like you'd use the points for anything else =) and hybrid's a BAD idea... just saying
Hehee~ You're welcome! Personally I find Final Attack makes being a Page/WK more fun than going without.
