With all the stuff going on with the new source, me and a couple of friends decided to check out some other servers, just to play together, mess around and try new jobs. It was never about finding another server to play on, and even after a few weeks on other servers, we knew Mapleroyals was the one and only, and we would all just start playing, when the server would come to its feet. That raised the question tho, what makes Mapleroyals so good? Why is it that this server's got such a large number of people playing it, compared to other server? Basically, why do you play exactly Mapleroyals? I didn't create this post to start a debate on which server is best, i just wanted to know why all of you play exactly on Mapleroyals.
Imo I think it's because there's a near perfect balance of hard work and reward. It's not terribly easy to get perfect gear or high leveled stuff, but it's not something that'll take you forever too. + the godly system
An identical experience to the Pre-BB MS of my childhood. Decent community population (prior to New Source) and I see that the population will return once more when the server is fully functional. No pay to win. Fairly stable player economy. Reasonable management of the server and strict enforcement of its rules. Unique and varied clean rolls on monster drops.
I make Maple Royals so good. I am still on this server coz I'm still on this server. Without me you're all nothing. /lie
No evan/aran/shitran bullshit classes, only the original 4 and pirates like it should be No OP stuff with 99999999999999 dmg at level 10 No BB! EXP/drop/meso rates are not too high, but not too low, they are just right Not too hard for newbies but not too easy. Like I've said, just right. No p2w Little to no douchebags who ks/scam/etc, most people I see are really nice people Godly system Stable economy Lots of active members And of course the nostalgia.
People in my age, facing struggles in life as I do, and we talk about our problems to encourage each other instead of being toxic. Basically the wonderful community
For me, it's the community. Nice people deserve everything tbh, kudos to all the awesome & nice people <3 & no pay to win.
Good exp/drop ratio and community. Sadly I've only tried to log in 5 or 6 times in the last couple months. All ended in rage. Been reading about the server with only 100 people and the last time I really checked it had 1000+. I watched Destiny slowly die, and I'm sad to see this server decline. My friends and I used to talk for hours about New Source, but now that it is here...I just won't play until I can farm bosses without some sort of simple error. I'll check back every 2-3 weeks on the forum for old times sake, but I'm afraid my maple journey may be over. Royals was just too great compared to other servers and watching you guys rise to #1 on the list was satisfying. I will never forget my friends and Hoes on here. Thank you, Mapleroyals.
