“There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.”

I think people might feel more comfortable voting in the poll and you might see more results if you did not make votes publicly visible.

I'm not American but let me tell you guys one thing because it always gets down to this point - I hate SJWs with passion. I better not express my opinion on this type of people or I will just get banned. But they really, really need to stop taking their selfies and scrolling their facebook feed, read a book and educate themselves. They are beyond ignorant.

Oh and I hate "commies" from my generation who have no idea what communism is about. The real communists have pretty much turned entire countries into sh*tholes and murdered hundreds of millions of innocent people. How communism is legal and fascism is illegal is still a mystery to me because they are exactly the same.

Anyway, I think I am ancap. But on a more "personal" level, unlike most ancaps. I don't think the society as it is today can function as anarchy of any kind in the next 1000 years. Most people still need governments and MSM to think for them.

"Social justice warrior" (commonly abbreviated SJW) is a pejorative term for an individual promoting socially progressive views,[1] including feminism,[1][2] civil rights,[1] multiculturalism,[1] and identity politics.[3] The accusation of being an SJW carries implications of pursuing personal validation rather than any deep-seated conviction,[4] and being engaged in disingenuous social justice arguments or activism to raise personal reputation, also known as virtue signalling."

Sure I agree with your opinion if the individual feigns support of these issues simply to advance his/her own personal agendas. Anyone that uses these causes to make themselves look better is a plebiscite that should be stamped out immediately. However if any individual truly believes in these causes then by all means they are doing the right thing. It's unfortunate to say that this stigma of being a person that advocates social justice is being made into a negative connotation.

Feminism, civil liberties, LGBT issues, multiculturalism, class warfare, are real problems that plague our society. Quite frankly, I welcome as many people as possible who recognize that woman in certain cases are treated different than men purely because of their gender. Or how minorities have to undergo a whole subset of challenges that a superlative may not even have to deal with. Facing these challenges head on and actually addressing them is what we should be focused on instead of finger pointing and name calling others. We already see enough of that in Congress.

Empathy and compassion go a long way, especially today.

In regards to your musings on fascism and communism I'd disagree with your assessment there. However i'll give you a chance to elaborate on what you mean.

Google "holodomor" and "gulag" for start and you will understand why I compare the two. Then, you will see why people such as Stalin, Mao, Lenin and Fidel Castro (who for some reason is praised as a hero in the west among the clueless millennials) are no better than people like Mussolini or Hitler. In fact, they are much worse. The Tsar family in Russia was brutally murdered, not even children spared. Fidel Castro killed gay people (that's why I find it funny that I see LGBT people with his face on their shirt. It is the same for someone like me who is Jewish to go around with the SS helmet or swastika)

Lenin committed a genocide of the Ukrainian people in the 30's...And Mao have killed like one hundred million of his own people. These people are monsters, and everybody who worships such people is either a monster himself or just uneducated like most millennials are.

Communism is supposed to be classless society by its definition. Yet as a cigar smoker myself, I know Cohibas (cigars that Fidel Castro used to smoke) are not cheap to say the least. Now google "average salary in Cuba" and see for yourself. Lenin lived in huge mansion while the Soviet people have lived like dogs in subhuman conditions. Even my cat has better life than people under communist regimes and I know that because there is a side in my family who lived under such regime. So you got your leaders living in huge mansions, smoking cigars and talking about "equality" and that "you should not be an entrepreneur/businessman because it is immoral" and promoting peasant like pro poverty culture to the masses while they are the polar opposite.
    Nice "classless" society!

I don't really have SJWs in my country so I have no real life experience with them, but I guess in the west I will be labeled "fascist" because of my views and because I don't agree with the whole SJW agenda. That's why I'm against them, everyone who is against freedom of speech and pro censorship is a fascist in my book.

The term "sjw" is thrown around too much to be taken seriously. Call it by what it is without using trendy terms imo. Someone is called an sjw these days for being against racism, for being a feminist, for being pro LGBT rights, or you name it. If it's a social issue and a sensitive one to some people at that, anyone defending it gets slapped with the sjw label, making your entire point lost. Hell, call someone out on their BS and you get that thrown at you too even if it had nothing to do with it.. It's petty.

There is another term for such people - it's called authoritarian fascist (which is also thrown around too much but it is what it is). We all know who we are talking about. Let me give you an example:

If there is a person who is pro censorship, anti freedom of speech due to any reason there is, anti free market/entrepreneurship, racist in denial ("you f*** a white male"/resolutions for white guys, calling black people with different opinions "Uncle Tom" anyone...?) pro violence against people with different opinions, pro pedophilia and other crimes, he is a fascist. And most people who are tagged as "SJW" are the same kind of people I'm talking about.
    Just to make it clear,

I'm pro LGBT rights, I'm pro old school feminism (not the third way feminism with hairy armpits and nonexistent "rape culture") and obviously against racism and I'm anti war. I should be called "SJW", but I'm not. But I have nothing in common with this type of people. The left is no longer what it used to be and that is why many of us have left the left.

I can't relate to people with strong convictions. I always default to, "What do I know? I'm not very wise." It kind of baffles me how people can believe they are knowing enough to have any convictions, heh. But I suppose the flipside of this is that since I find decision making in my own life to be so difficult, the idea of a group of people making sweeping decisions that affect millions of people is quite off-putting to me. So, pro-small government.
