Most likely because those trainingspots suck in comparison to those mentioned in the guide. Also, selkie jr. Are weak to fire as well as jr. Wraiths.

back when i was training my F/P (which was about 2 years ago), the el nath spawns weren't that great. CPQ was working back then so i mainly did that, but i found teddies and boars to be good exp

The chimney maps don't exist in royals, so there's no good place with twisted jesters.

Haunted house library actually has quite a good spawn of jesters, and you can simultaneously farm heartstoppers from the voodoos on the top floor. Only downside is that you need to clear out the skeletons and scarecrows on the bottom two floors to keep the spawn rate high.

I still think mp3 is the fastest. I went to the library as a cleric since every mob is undead just to change training spot once in a while, but as an F/P idk.

Hey, check out some maps down in Aqua and Showa as some monsters there are poison weak. I remember spending a bit of time at http://bbb.hidden-street.net/map/mini-map/hidden-street-the-hidden-town early on and then moved to http://bbb.hidden-street.net/map/mini-map/zipangu-showa-street-1 here. Can't comment on %/hr's as I wasn't recording, I just recall that it wasn't a horrible time. Look to get to DT's as early as possible as it is super fast.

    Disclaimer:
this was previous to the new source so spawns may have changed!

Yeah about that, what is the earliest level you can go to DT? 49 is too early. But other stuff is getting dreadfully slow... 55 is going to be a pain

The limiting factor is when your accuracy is high enough for it to be worthwhile. Depending on gear, you "might" be able to go sooner, but even with ~60 int from gear I was only able to go at around 55. In the meantime, jr yeti, and gs5/mp3 are probably your best options. As mentioned it is dependant on stats. There is an accuracy calculator here http://nekonecat.googlepages.com/magicacc.htm which you can use to estimate hit rate. You may find that you are comfortable with a lower percentage hit rate because the exp gain is equal or better than other training methods. I can't remember when I went there, but it was a few levels earlier than 55. Missed a lot and large pot burn, though it was still fast and worthwhile.

Been there since lvl 51 and im almost 67 now.

I've put nearly zero mesos into my mage, besides my 18 int robe from washing, so i'd say that's a safe cut off for most people.
