Its not scamming but its basically scamming. And lmfao supply and demand, what you're saying is basically like buying a house for 400k above market price(before a recession), during a recession. Everyone has an economics degree apparently that they think its all just supply and demand lmfao.
There's nothing "basically" scamming about it. It's just very overpricing an item that is currently unobtainable. If you have something people want (15 att scg) and there are high barriers of entry for the market (no scrolling), and there are few sellers (so far, I've maybe seen one other seller), that's a monopoly or oligopoly depending how you classify it. I'm using my market power to temporarily raise prices for extremely difficult items to obtain. That's just intro level economics. I feel everyone should take a course or two on the subject. It's quite interesting.
Plus since it is an unobtainable item at this moment, if I sell it to you, my damage will drop sharply as a result. I'm also factoring in marginal utility into my prices
Its basically high way robbery. You obviously don't get the comparison. Either way nah ill pass on your "Basically scam" price.
You clearly don't know what a scam is. Let me define it for you. Scam: a fraudulent or deceptive act or operation There is nothing deceptive about what I'm doing. I'm being very transparent in the goods I am selling and the price I am selling it for. Please understand the words you use before you try string sentences with them.
Its a pretty scam price man. Its overpriced and quiet frankly its insulting that you would try to offer me it at a price that high. Do you take me for an idiot or something? As I said before, no i don't want to buy it. So take your scam price somewhere else.
"You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means" - Princess Bride There is no such thing as a "scam price." Let's say you are looking for an oil change. Shop A charges $20 for an oil change and shop B charges $30 for an oil change. Everyone is used to shop A's prices and it becomes the standard in oil change prices. One day, shop A goes out of business and the only shop left is shop B. Shop B, realizing that he is the only shop in town that sells oil changes, decides to increase his prices for the service he provides. Is shop B scamming anybody? Nobody is walking into this deal with any unknowns. I am offering a 15 att scg for 2.3b. There is nothing insulting about that price, and no, I don't take you for an idiot, but if you were to call yourself one, I would not disagree with you. I take you for a potential customer. You just have a clear lack of understanding of how economies work, and how monopolies are operated.
I don't understand why you keep trying to prove me an idiot after I already said I don't wanna buy. Its scam price. Whys it matter what I call it. You think you'll change my opinion of the price? Please go away already, Mr. Carnegie.
Because you keep saying "scam" Your lack of finesse in using the English language slightly bothers me. I've even defined the word for you and gave you examples of how it's not a scam. Your continued ignorance despite multiple clarifications are a pestilence upon this forum and I'm trying to enlighten you so you see the error of your word choice. There are correct words for this. Overpriced, inflated, even a rip-off. All those would be acceptable given your feelings and opinions but a scam; it is not that. That is why I continue to correct you. Regardless, this is my last post on your thread.
It's not a scam to ask for a price that you don't want to pay. You could avoid this, as the buyer, by posting a price range you want to buy at.
1) no one buying a SCG period, is unaware of how valuable they are 2) Unless he lies about the stats, it's not a scam. The item is sold, as described, it's up to both the buyer, and the seller, to agree to the price. If he sells it at X price, and the buyer feels that was too much then don't buy it. If he's unaware of the price, that's still his fault. Caveat emptor, buyer beware. Until there is true deception, it's not a scam to over pay for something.
The need for someone to prove their intellect online to a stranger is astounding. Why the heck can't I just say its scam price. What if I called it an elephant price? Would you stand there trying to correct me? Whats the big deal, i have no clue. Also @rennac, Someone offered one for 1.6b and I said no. Why would anyone think I'll pay 700m more than that for one? The situation was basically someone trying to take advantage of my "desperation" to buy an SCG, since I have been trying for several days now. Thats why it was insulting aswell.
Just because you call it a scam doesn't mean it is. I can call a flower with red petals a rose all day, but that doesn't mean a red tulip is a rose. A rose by any other name... lol
