Hello, returning player here! c: I didn't have any issues with resolution with the pre-new source Royals, but I've returned to playing these past few days and I realized that Royals just won't go full screen anymore. It does work fine in windowed mode, but it's a bit small. When I click alt-enter to make it go full screen or change it manually in 'game options', the screen flickers black, minimizes Royals, and keeps it minimized until I close Royals and rerun it windowed. There are no error messages or anything. It's not a problem with my resolution, as I can run other private servers which run at the same size full screen just fine. I've also tried changing my resolution manually before making Royals full screen, and it still flickers black and minimizes on me when I try to make it full screen. I've tried running it in compatibility mode for XP, 98, and Windows 7, but none of those work either. I'm kind of baffled. Any advice? Thanks~
Are you sure it is not something on your end? It could be your resolution? Perhaps try restarting your computer I just tried now, and I am able to maximize MapleRoyals using the Alt + Enter and the manual technique in options. Here is my settings
I gave those settings a shot, but it still minimized when I alt-enter'd. It could be my resolution settings, but again, I can run a couple of other private servers full screen without issues. So I don't think it's that.
Might be worth trying to: Run the setup.exe found in the MapleRoyals folder. Make sure all your graphics drivers are updated. Changing your desktop screen resolution to different settings.
I second / third the resolution thing. I had that issue when I got a new monitor. Changing resolution fixed it for me
Changing it how, if you don't mind me asking? I've tried manually changing my resolution before playing, but that doesn't seem to affect things.
Update: I tried changing my tool-bar settings and it seems to be (at least temporarily) fixed? For some reason, having my bottom tool-bar set to auto-hide was causing it to flicker when I tried to go full screen. So if anyone else is having a similar issue, you might try either hiding or locking your toolbar. (Thanks for being helpful, everyone!)
