Hello guys, today I'm going propose to you a new Currency Exchange in Royals...

I know how annoying it is when you lose some mesos because taxes from trades,
    or when you try to
save money in different characters because of the max mesos limit.
Or what about having to exchange mesos with White scrolls or Chaos scrolls, but then have a lack of pure mesos if you want to buy something quickly?
You will lose mesos if you want to sell them quickly
or your savings will be protected from WS/CS price fluctuation..

    So what I propose...

    Simply, just add this coins:
Image - Name - Value at NPC
    [IMG] - Manji Coin - 10M
    [IMG] - Wonky Coin - 30M
    [IMG] - Cassandra Coin - 50M
    [IMG] - Gaga Coin - 100M
    [IMG] - Inkwell Coin - 200M

but I would like add a zero at the end of these coins so:

    [IMG] - Manji Coin - 100M
    [IMG] - Wonky Coin - 300M
    [IMG] - Cassandra Coin - 500M
    [IMG] - Gaga Coin - 1b
    [IMG] - Inkwell Coin - 2b

    Item features:
    Tradeable but not droppeable.
    High stack amount.

And how this will fix those problems?

1.- Well if Staff could make these coins buyable using mesos by a common NPC, you could save your mesos as an Item and just be limited to the stack number, not as max mesos..

2.-If could sell this item by a common NPC, you could have your mesos quickly.

3.- You could use these coins to buy expensive items without the buyer/seller get affected from taxes.

4.- White scrolls and chaos scrolls would no longet be the currency exchange so the price would be come eventually will become more stable.

5.- Those coins could be used on expensive trades and you could pay for an expensive item in just 1 trade.

    Pros for Royals Staff:

1.- Because this items is obtainable by an NPC, and could be tradable, it would be easier to track and detect real world trading.

2.- This could be (I guess) easy to code because you already have the core

3.- New and unique feature to MapleRoyals Server, this coin could be called "Royal" (MapleRoyals Currency Exchange)

4.- Buying expensive items couldn't be required "trust" betweeen the two parties tranding over max mesos wich would decrease scamming.

I think trade tax is a vital meso sink for this server, especially for large quantities of mesos. If this would be implemented purely for storage purposes it would have to be untradable.

Yea i second making it untradeable, so that you have to go back and sell it in order to have enough meso

Edit: Deal with the taxes while trading mesos, since meso dump is vital imo

I don't know if thats possible, but for storing purposes wouldn't it be easier to increase the max meso the storage keeper can hold ?

Interesting so its a client limitation? So we have to wait until we have a custom Royals client. But we all know thats not going to happen in the foreseeing future :/

I like the idea, how ever I don't think it should work as a form of tax evasion. there could be fees for buying or selling the coins at the npc.

This would be the best solution imo (and allow the player to hold more too, not just the storage keeper). Changing the meso cap requires the client to be edited which is possible, but difficult.

What if when you put large quantities of money into storage, it becomes an item in storage (like the coins), the more money you add, the more coins that show up, but you can take out as many as you want (up to max on 1 character). Like, as you add every 500m to the bank, it becomes said item, a token. This item only exists in the storage, cannot be "taken" out, cannot be traded. Just a numerical identifier for how many "chunks" of 500m you have.

From what I can see, this would solve the problem of needing so many mules. This would eliminate the "potential of duping" items in your inventory. Unless it's possible to dupe items in storage.

However, doesnt help that items are worth more than currently be held. My question is though, if WS are acting as coins like in OPs post, whats stopping people from duping those?

Edit: the token idea could also be applied in game. Like WoW, 1 gold is worth 100 silver, and 1 silver is worth 100 copper. You could just do X is worth 100 Y, 1 Y is worth 1,000,000 mesos or something.

I would reckon both client and server sided limitation. V83 as far as i know, mesos are stored in a 4 byte format. So it will go no higher than the current limitation, unless Kevin looks into the recent versions in both source and client side to see how the limit would be raise, if it's even possible.

But then it won't be worth the effort, as he is better off spending those time to fix crucial things than to waste it on increasing just the meso cap.
