Hey, I really miss the MapleStory best days in 2004-2008, when every map was full of parties and huge groups of players were playing together! Where did all that go? Maple Royals are not supposed to reproduce this fun? From today, once a day, it is important that you take care of a big event on one of the maps, on one of the channels. There must be at least 30 different players without such an event, without the management doing anything special, but simply telling everyone to get to "Channel 2, Spider Wolves" for example. All of them, without exception, get to this map, even if they are on a high level and they come just for fun like in the old days! MapleRoyals, before new source had more than 2k users online (counting mules of course), but due to the new source, many took a step back and went for a break instead. So don't be too pessimistic, because the population will return once more features are introduced back to the server. A milestone was the recent CS update. As for what's shown in the video, bit of impossible case unless you remove items like WS and CS, and perhaps go back a few versions before 4th jobs were released.
We have jumped from 5th or 6th place on gtop to 2nd (1st on pre BB servers since Ellinia is a post BB server) in a less than a week when CS came back. Now imagine what will happen when registration and character creation are back along with stores in FM. The server is like 70% finished right now. Dear admins, please work on character creation. I think 90% of us can't wait to open a new character. It will be great!
Before character creation I have a feeling their are a few more small things left to deal with before they release that especially since Matt has mentioned not wanting to open up registration until a new auto ban system has been implemented
Well, we can still get character creation on our existing accounts before new accounts registration. It can be a good idea to make the game more interesting for now as we wait for more updates. Even AP resets are working now so washing is not an issue.
I played Royals for like 5 months before new source came and the most online players I had seen was like 1400 or 1500. 2,000 never happened in that time frame. Some people will return, possibly. A lot have gone for good though, so you really should just be honest with him.
Then you've not played long enough. And perhaps i rephrased wrongly. What i meant was there are instances where more than 2k users are online. It was a number used to represent the general population depending on the time.
