Well, this bug has really just gone on for too long, and I don't believe theres a discussion thread for this anywhere.

So, I don't know what has been tried or recorded to work/not work.

Here are some theories I've come up with.

    1. It might have to do with skill lock and how it reacts when seal gets placed on someone that is mid casting a spell. I saw threads from GMS where players who were kaisers would d/c when skill lock is placed on them as their midcast. Could maybe be relevant here.
+ Could be the reason its hard to replicate since timing is unpredictable.
    - Doesn't explain DCs on B2 since I don't believe b2 locks.
+ Could also have to do with bishops dispel causing dcs?

    2. It could do with a party bug. Not sure if this is relevant, but when you log out in a party, log in and leave the party, then get added to another party and that party disbands. IF you create another party and then invite people and someone dc's after you change maps (not sure if this is the accurate way to reproduce it either), the old party you had gets shown up as your party with everyone online, when they aren't. This happened to me but I didn't really take note of it or document it.

I fixed this by changing maps, but this could be an error that can cause dcs since you're tied to two parties and and shouldn't be possible. Like i said, might not be relevant.

Somethings that have been debunked as solutions:
    1. No talking in any form.
    2. Remaking party once inside.
    3. Compatibility mode and/or GFXing
    4. Fullscreen vs windowed mode.
    5. Changing windows occasionally when in fullscreen.

Somethings that still need to be tested for a better idea:
    1. I've had successes of not dcing when I overload my CPU by running 2 clients, netflix, 5-6 chrome tabs, and a steam game like Dota 2 in the background. Not sure if this is just luck or not, but I seem to not dc often when my set up at zak is like this. On the other hand, I dc a lot in the FM when i have this set up. So not sure.

    2. 6 Man party, 1 NL, 2 Bowman, 2 Hero (or warrior alternative), 1 Bishop. Just a little weird idea I had after multiple runs that I realized I dc'ed alot when there was 2 or more Nightlords in the run. I don't think this has any affect but could be?.

    3. No AoE skill spamming. EX: Dispel, holy symbol, heal.

Any ideas should be posted here. Please post any situations you can remember where you did dc or didn't and the circumstances around it. Lets try to help fix this problem so we can go back to bossing without worrying.

It's not related to skill seal in specific - Krexel doesn't seal and I've d/ced there a handful of times.
Trust me there's been a lot of discussion staff-side about what may be causing it, a lot of trial and error, testing, recording things like packets, recording boss runs, etc. Kevin thinks he may be onto something though.

I have had a theory about it being to do with current exp. But idk how to prove or test. I have not, however, dc'd at krex even 10% of the number of times i've dced at zak. Which makes me think that krex is a different issue entirely OR has to do with # of party members/party skill interaction.

there may not even be a specific reason causing us all to do maybe its just that Zak is unstable af and needs to be redone?

I don't think this is the case, but it could also be. Since I seem to DC the most in the FM or in Zak. Maybe theres something corrupt with those files or maybe it has to do with the way the game interacts with multiple ppl in the same map? Or its a bugged skill or something but who knows.

It's not limited to just zak. I've dced while at anego. I've d/ced while grinding at newts. While at bodyguard. Zakum. Krexel. It isn't just one specific thing, Kevin had an idea based on the logging that me and the other GMs have done and he's looking into it.

Idk. Sometimes people dc more often due to computer specs. I have never dc'd at anego or bf. I have dced once or twice at krex, which was probably just due to a time out, rather than dc.

It has nothing to do with computer specs... It's about packets being sent/received.

No, im saying sometimes, people dc because of their computer specs. Not saying it is the cause for zak dc's. I thought that was pretty obvious.

Today I have krexel twice trio clienting my NL, Se mule and hs mule on the same pc and I did not DC. This time I paid close attention to the pet as I have notice that everytime I have DCed in the past my pets were hungry. On both runs I kepts the 3 pets fully fed and did not Dc at all. Perhaps the issue might be related to pets getting hungry but its just an idea...

There are many factors to why one d/cs at zak and why one d/cs just afking. I far often more d/c in zak, than while afking.

EX: I afk a lot in the FM with my attacker. I d/c once every few hours maybe. In zak (if a GM is rewarping), i'll dc at least 5 times after every rewarp.

The DCs in the FM usually come after someone casts a spell, is what i noticed. Otherwise, I can go several hours w/o dc.

Made it through 2 krexels today by taking off pets on all three accounts. No dc's. For reference, at least one client had dc'd during my last at least 5 runs. Coincidence? Maybe.

Maybe an irrelevant question but, was your party freshly made or was it pre-existing?

Pre-existing, but one mule was added in one case.

Bump @Sila im sure ppl have noticed but if you afk in a place alone with no ppl (ex: i afk'd in kenta's room on chnl 5) and i never d/ced. I afk for a few mins at fm or near gaga, i dc within 15-20mins of not moving.

    Relevant?

I've been passing along info and packet logs to Kevin, who's going to take another look at it once char creation is done. I'm pretty sure there's some relation to the packets about buffs/skills. The first cake boss before we fixed it never d/ced me or anyone, but once his attacks were fixed he started to d/c people...
I d/ced people while we were in town and spamming buffs too.

I found that I only DC at Zak when I try and use a skill macro while stunned.

Interesting. I will test this out. Would you mind taking a ss of your macro window so I know what to replicate?

I hardly ever D.C. At zak since it was fixed and I have 3 TT in a macro and booster plus shadow partner on another. Never D.C. With that.
