I could def enjoy playing Aran, BUT it had to be nerfed pretty significantly to bring it in line with adventurers, like reduced mob count hit etc.
This is like the old concept of power creep. When you start releasing harder bosses, you'll get better and better weapons, higher damage ranges, etc. and eventually old zakum / older bosses can easily be soloed. It kind of ruined it for me to be honest. If you want newer content, then what needs to happen is a way to release new content (very slowly) while not allowing for OP damages ranges and without devaluing the old content.
I don't mind adding bossed that are equal to or slightly harder than the current bosses (scar/targa only being slightly different than Zak / ht for example). Pb is highly wanted and I'm indifferent to it because I never fought it in gms. Not that I did scar or targa either but I'm more familiar with them as smaller bosses in comparison.
How about Von Leon / Lion King boss? That would be another good lower leveled boss and he has mediocre drops.
Hang on, that's not necessarily true. For one, they can easily edit the drop tables. Secondly, many of the post-v62, preBB bosses didn't drop anything too different to what you're using now. Chaos Zakum Helmets wouldn't change your damage too much, so if it were added to the server, Zakum would still be as hard as it always was, and Chaos Zakum would be extremely hard and rarely defeated. That's what another private server is trying right now, LHC in a preBB server. Should be interesting to see how it goes, but I highly doubt that area will ever be in Royals.
+1 for Eli's suggestion. A new boss with an increased level limit of 180+ish would be really cool as it would prevent 'end-game burnout' where players are getting bored of the same old content they've been playing for the last 60 levels lol.
+1, this is exactly my opinion on "v83 content". And to my aran rant: Aran is the most OP class I have ever seen, I can't believe people are seriously comparing this class to heroes..Is this some kind of new trolling or a private joke I don't understand? Arans have better dps, mobbing skills, party buffs, their mobility is only second to NL (if not even better), can be both ranged and melee, have a weapon att bonus skill IN THEIR FIRST JOB, can be invincible for a certain amount of time, do I really need to go on? How heroes, or any class can even compete with this? The pros outweigh the "cons" by a ton, especially on this server where having " relatively low hp for a melee class" isn't an issue and washing even a NL to 30k is ez af is you got a bish and lots of free time. Washing an aran would be a piece of cake, even for a new player. I mean, why would you play a slow warrior or a weak bucc/shadower or waste tons of money on ranged classes when you have aran? It will break the game harder than the new source did 5 months ago. But this time, the server won't recover. Besides, it has nothing to do with the original game. It started with Aran and went downhill in a second. The moment this server introduces new classes, it is going to be a dead server. Like legit dead, not like the trolls and haters are saying. Learn from mistakes the others did and don't repeat them. Pink bean can be a nice addition, but it will never come anyway so it doesn't matter. Too much hassle for us all, especially the staff.
We've been long past the point where people can solo zak and even ht. This server's been up for around 4 years now, people have already hit the highest point they can possibly achieve, the only things end game players can work to improve on is chaosing the same cape and shoes for 1 or 2 more attack and even go as far as chaosing regular equipments just to squeeze out 10 or 20 more range, that should tell you how stagnated our server has become. Scarlion and Targa helms only offer 2 more main stats than a zak helm and mw30 only gives 5% more stats than mw20, those small numbers aren't going to have a noticeable effect on our server. Timeless weapons may seem controversial at first but I think they'll be a great addition to the game. For one they're unique in that you can level them up so players that are 200 will have something new to grind and when these weapons level they have a random chance of increasing their main stats by x-y amount. They also have a low chance to gain an ability that enhances your main 4th job skill, but again this is completely randomly whether you gain it or not. The randomness and potential of these weapons are their appeal and is what can keep end game players from playing the game. But all of this is pretty talk as even if Pink Bean were to be added it's going to be near impossible to kill it on a regular basis. Power creep happened in gms because of a lot of content being added in such a short period. New overpowered classes and potentials were the 2 biggest culprits for why gms got out of control imo (along with many other things of course) so as long as we stay away from that I wouldn't worry too much about adding new content.
this server needs to stop thinking only about the higher level players, and the higher level players also need to stop acting like they own the server, you guys have way too much power. Let the minorities have what they want for at least once
Im down for PB, Scar/Targa and some other pre-bb stuff, Aran would be cool but I never really liked Aran's as a play-style prefer Drk. Dragon Rider pq would be sick and I have always been in favor of Lion King castle because it was a place where higher levels can actually grind and interact outside of the realm of bossing with eachother. But obviously waiting till everything is working and what is already planned for the game works flawlessly before adding any new content
I also agree that if anything then once server is fully stable, Pink Bean might be a good idea since people are already strong enough to do Horntail runs easily. A new challenge would definitely bring people more joy, but more areas and classes is a no-no for me honestly.
Never played one actually. They are good class, but far from OP. At least not like aran. If you wanna know what OP is, look no further.
Well, before thinking add on new stuff, they should focus on the current issues now. AKA free market, DC on boss run.
