Closed Lost Item

    IGN's: Ninja, Blast, Southpaw, Doom, Pioneer
    Problem: Item has gone missing
    Details:
    So I had a 14 ATT work glove that has gone missing. I have traded it between my accounts many times with many other items including NX items (traded through trade-window and dropping), and the most recent time, transferring between accounts, it has gone missing. I double checked all of my characters and in Storage of each account. I'm not sure if anything else is missing but this is the only item I am worried about due to its value. I know I couldn't have NPC'd it because I was wearing it anytime I did any NPCing. I'm not exactly sure when it went missing. I only noticed it wasn't there after moving all my stuff to one character. Any explanation and any chance of getting it back? :\

    Just an update on this in case more information is needed, I doubled checked every character and all of my accounts' storage and it is still no where to be found. I was only ever in ch 17, transferred it a few times, mostly through characters 'Pioneer,' 'Doom,' and 'Southpaw.' I was using it with an NX glove over it on 'Southpaw,' and the last thing I remember is transferring stuff back over to other chars, and when I went to look for this glove it was nowhere to be found. I think a few other things might be missing but I'm not worried about them. I just want the 14 ATT Work Gloves.

    Did you transfer it to a newly made character since Character Creation was enabled?

    No. This happened the day before character creation was implemented. I only moved it to a character I had not played in about a year and a half, then to a few other chars. In all I think it had been in 4 or 5 of my characters' inventory in about 3 hour's time.

    Just curious if there is a way to trace items that are reported missing by players? Or do we just go based off things like known errors and player description of what happened?

    We don't currently have trade logs. I've left it open because I have no clue how an item would have disappeared if not due to that rollback issue with new characters. I could change the prefix for admin action but without trade logs there might not be much success.

    Well I really appreciate it, Sila. I don't know what could have happened. I did max storage out while transferring some stuff at one point, and I think the glove was included, but I don't know if that would have anything to do with it. If nothing can be done, then be as it may. I'll just ride it off like I NPC'd it and move on. Lol

    An update on this:
    I had a strange suspicion that I lost my glove after dropping it straight from being equipped (in a free market room.) and trying to pick up on another character.
    Well a few days ago I transferred all my daggers over to my Bandit and one of them (the best scrolled dagger) wasn't there. The method of transferring them was just dropping them all in an FM room and picking them all up on another char. (This way has always been the fastest for me.) And now I just dropped a Raggedy cape straight from my equip inventory and tried to pick up on another char, and it isn't in either character's inventory. It was dropped at the same time as many other items (including NX equips). I even tried changing channels and it is still gone. I can't be the only one who has had this problem.
    These are 3 items I have seen disappear from my inventory, and I am obviously going to stop transferring this way for the time being, but in case anyone else does this method of transferring, I'd refrain.

    I just recently drop traded a ton of scrolls between three characters and didnt run into this issue at all. Was your inventory full on any of those characters?

    I drop trade lots of stuff all the time. But I noticed this time I dropped the cape with an nx cape and the raggedy cape never showed up in either character's inventory. The dropping of equips in conjunction with nx equips is what has me wondering. Especially straight from the equips window.
    And no, no inventory was full.

    How do you even drop an item without unequipping the nx cover first?
    Edit: Unless you mean you dropped the NX cover and then the item?

    Yes, sorry for not being clear. Dropping the NX item straight from being equipped, followed by dropping the regular equip. I picked up all the items (in this case it was about 5.) The NX cape was 2nd to last, and the raggedy cape was last. It even gave me the side message "You have gained an item in the equip tab (Raggedy Cape) but it wasn't in my inventory.

    I cannot reproduce this problem as it wont let me drop NX items straight from my equipped inventory:

    not after relogging either
    When I drop regular items from my equipment and pick them up they do appear in my inventory.
    I'm afraid we can't do anything for you in this case, I hope you'll be more careful with your items and trade them properly from now on!

    happend to me too with yellow work glove, same issue, and i also checked everywhere, this is so unlucky.
    btw i saw few players posting that they lost their items and in all of the posts, gms couldnt help, like, is there any way to see history of items that u had in inventory or something like that?, i lost like 200m in that case and its very frustrating...
