Last thing you did: Using Arrow Bomb off the platform @ GS2 and it hitting a monster.
Why do you think you got banned?: Autoban system glitch?

You were banned for ban evasion. Nice try, Serpent.

Yup. I was having fun trolling that dude. I believe he also thought I was a female, because I'd say I was a girl. Which is true. I am a guy irl.

Had a feeling this is what you had.

[Edit] Darn it I really shouldn't have done that if I knew so many GMs would get involved :/

Well, the staff had suspicions before but was not able to act without evidence. You gave us the evidence necessary. Next time, don't kid about something that can get you permanently banned.

Unfortunately I like playing with fire. I have bad habits like these, stepping on the line.

But.. I'll tell you this. serpent was evading ban at one point. But he ended up getting perma-banned again on the "ID" he was evading on.. If you compare two players that both said bad things about Matt, you'll know.

I look up to serpent though. He really had guts to do the things he did. And then come back and still try to cause problems.. For the people who knew him personally they know he led a great guild. And I feel honored to have had the chance to continue what he started.

What serpent did say though was that he has a type of mental illness. This would explain why he could be the nicest guy ever, and then all of the sudden be seeking for attention in a good way or bad. I wish there was a system to allow these types of people to play. Perhaps a restrictive system that disallows such players to send smegas.
and have to have their forum posts approved before they get posted.
I honestly could not take him being a hacker as an answer to his behaviour,
if you notice, his outbursts occurred randomly, not all after he disbanded his guild. Meaning half the time he was the nice person people love, and the times he was naughty were just outbursts.

    Off Topic:
Because this person has an illness, his outbursts come from his subconscious thinking. They may or may not reflect how he was treated on game or offline.
    Back to Topic:

As much as I'd like to be like serpent, I'm not. (I know I'm not as good as a guild leader as he is,
I annoy people etc.) I don't believe I communicate like serpent and if you would take notice, he always seems to have ended ban appeals with comments that flame admins.

Also, I'm always trying to help on the forums with client issues, glitches, reporting etc. I don't think I've ever seen serpent do this either.

And if I have to continue to appeal. IF I was in fact ban evading. Why would I tell a random person this? If you check my account I don't even have this person on my buddy list. It's just some guy who would pick on me at GS2 while I channel hopping and picking up drops once in a while.

Also, if you would check my IP I'm not behind a proxy. It's the IP of a cable user. I'm pretty sure all proxies are hosted by companies with their own IPs. I know my ISP doesn't let server hosting so something such as proxy service would definitely be blocked.

Playing with fire can get you burned.

Could I have the current status on my ban appeal? Is it rejected, am I banned for 5 days due to this being my second "offense", is there any chance of the ban being lifted?

    Thanks.

    Off topic:
I did recently play with candle fire, burnt an orange peel in there and it turned into a huge flame. It started heating up my desk very quickly so I decided to put it out. Wow, when I put water on it, it grew bigger for a second then died down! It was quite a sight. Luckily I didn't get burned. That must be why I continue.

Then yesterday, I had a candle on my desk, it was a small tea candle. I tried blowing it out and instead, IT SLID AWAY from me! It nearly got to the window curtains. Ouch if those caught fire...

You are permanently banned. There will be no change in status.

And for what reason might that be? Thanks for clearing it up.

I don't understand your logic behind the permanent ban, however. Perhaps I should stop helping new players with their technical problems and stop encouraging them to play.

Oldie, do us a favour please? Could you PM us some kind of proof of your date of birth? Thanks!

(Unless you are below the age of 13, in which case, do not send us a COPPA form, as mentioned below.)

    Update:

If you're under 13, you will need to get a COPPA form filled out - ie your parents giving you permission to play.

(Apologies for the edits, I was unaware of some of this and Matt has corrected me!)

Just because I like to stay as anonymous as possible on the internet doesn't make me a criminal.

Signing up for a small MMO private server I don't want to give any personal identifiable information. You already have my IP address which reveals my location within 0-40km! I bet there's tools out there that can trace my location even closer. You guys already have more than enough information about me.

Not only that but you also have my unique HDID.

I don't trust my any company on the internet. Please don't take it offensive.
It's insane how people could get tracked now a days.

@Kat Yes, I did not put my real DoB. There's no way I could be 4 years old.
    I'm really 18.

But I think you guys are missing the point. The events that happened in game with me do not match up with serpent's. You're too busy looking at the outside like a large company like nexon would. But please don't forget you guys aren't a large company yet, you can still judge players based on their behaviour in-game and on forums. I wish this was something that was done more often and looked into in order to build good GM - Player ethic.

So I broke the T/C at Registration point # 2. Now that's a legit reason to end the game use for me.
The only issue here is that you have no privacy policy. There is no agreement you make about the use of information you collect, therefore you have no reason to attack me for not agreeing with that point. (logically)

    Sincerely,
    -Oldie

The only reason we need to know your date of birth - if over 13 - is that it will give us the proof we need to unban you. I can understand why you wouldn't want to share private information and that is up to you.

I changed my DoB on my profile. I'm guessing you guys can get in trouble if you take info from children under the age of 13.

Yeah, we're not supposed to collect info from children under 13. However, I assumed you to be around the age you say you are, ie 18.

A picture of your driver's license with everything blurred out except your DoB plus a piece of paper with your IGN written on it in the same shot so we know it is not a stock image would suffice.
