So I am coming back after a while and I am maining a Corsair, at the moment I am at level 31. This is unfunded and no HP washing this go through, at least not yet. I know the one guide is out of date but a relatively ok starting point. However, training guides have suggested doing the KPQ, but last time I felt like a total anchor to my team. I couldn't do damage worth a darn. I did the minimal strength as needed build with everything in Dex so I am just beating crap with a surfboard until I hit 35 to use my maple gun. I'm slowly getting back into things and just increasing my funding and getting used to playing again so it doesn't have to be a 0-250 in a day type of thing but areas to get from 31 up to 70-100 would be nice.

Any suggestion locations for a Solo gunslinger? Maybe if I am on more I will try partying once my damage isn't garbage.

    Fellow gunslinger here :)
I did teddies most of my 3x levels until 35 I think, then I went to kill mateons+did the tentacle quest and other quests at Omega Sector. Really underrated location for these levels.
Then, started LPQing at like 45 for a long long time (I find it more fun despite the DCs+wanted to get broken glasses) but you can do platoon/master chronos or something.

At 50+ I say go to zombies and farm some teeth, they are like 3m for a stack now and they are easily farmable. The npc rate is also good and you can get other good things as well. One issue though - I'm a weirdo that actually likes grinding at zombies for some reason (did it on my bandit from 50-73), I guess it's the nostalgia. I even like getting all the way there by foot and not buying DM scrolls :) Most people will recommend you gs or something like that but I don't like it. Personal opinion, nothing more.

I had really good gear though+I'm taking it really slow and not in a rush to level (more focused on making money and getting my gear). So most things here might not suit you but you can give them a try.

Thank you for that. I currently using an aluminum baseball bat to SSK teddies, almost to 35 so I can use my MapleGun which is unfortunately clean but I don't want to bother wasting mesos on scrolling it since it's unfunded atm (No idea what a fully scrolled one costs. Been away way too long). It feels like Double Shot is significantly stronger than Invisible shot despite what the old guides say. Maybe after I finish gun mastery it'll improve as I level it. Never gotten to third job on a pirate before. I really need to work on accumulating gear and seeing what it'll cost. I'm totally lost on pricing and gears. I haven't played hardcore in years.

I thought it was fixed that Corsair pirates could shoot at close range but I guess that wasn't in old maple story, so we still have that 1 damage pistol whip routine. The weak damage from Invisible Shot atm makes mobbing difficult when they get close fast. SSK has just been faster.

They do a bit more damage than the Brown Teddies and I can group up several Teddies and get xp faster than shooting Lupins from afar, but if I can get my damage up they look doable :). I could solo grind just Teddies but it gets dull. I'd like to move to Omega sector but I was getting owned. I guess I really need to work on my gear situation once I remember what you should have from 35-70 then 70-120. Need to get up to that 2bill+ mark.

My route since i started a couple weeks ago has been this

    Straw Dummies: 35-45
    Gs2: 45-58
    Windraiders: 58-65
    Wolf Spider: 65-75
    Ulu2: 75-90
    Himes:90-95

I would advice you to not do it solo though, grinding in a party is ALOT faster at the moment, im part of a guild that started fresh a couple of weeks ago so we have a lot of people around your level. The only rule is no leeching, we would be happy to have you :)

I also just started a corsair in the IRONMAN guild. I'm currently at 73 after about 16 days all solo. I highly recommend doing voodoos as soon as around level 50 or maybe 55 and then all the way to 70 (I was there all the way until lvl 73 lol). Use the heartstoppers they drop to help increase your dps. I know heartstoppers can be worth quite a lot of money if you get a lot of them, but it makes grinding on the map really quick. I managed to farm up 80 while constantly using them so you will still make some money either way. I tried gs2, but the spawn was really bad. I also tried windraiders at 60, but my dps was too poor. Straw dummies is great from 35 and up. As far as either going, SSK or Double Shot, I would recommend double shot. New source buffed it's damage from 80% per shot to 110% so it's totally viable. I used it for a majority of my leveling experience so far. Double shot always shoots at max speed too, so it's unaffected by booster. Keep that in mind if you don't want to use invisible shot. Also, once you're high enough level (probably lvl 40), try Iron Mutaes . They are AMAZING. They also drop mighty bullets. http://bbb.hidden-street.net/map/mini-map/alcadno-research-institute-lab-area-b-3
It's all the way in Magatia, but the map works really well for invisible shot. I wish i would have known about this spot before i was level 60 lol.

EDIT: Iron Mutaes also drop cape for dex 60%!

Thank you for all the assistance thus far :) I am in transition of moving cities, jobs, potentially finishing of a degree, etc. So I have been focusing on that this week but once I am settled with stuff I'll be jumping right back in actively. This is very helpful stuff. The Teddies just seem to be the fastest at the moment since I can group them, tank the hits, and kill them relatively fast, but very good info.
