Hi, everyone. I'm at a point in MapleRoyals where I need billions of mesos to make my characters any better than they already are (i.e. buying chaos/white scrolls to upgrade gear). What are good, relatively worthwhile ways to make money in this server, other than selling leech? I don't think it's a good investment to gach anymore since nearly all non-INT scrolls are worth very little, and chaos and white scrolls seem to be extremely rare now (when I started on this server 2 years ago I would get one almost every 70 tickets; now I am finding that it takes me 300 or more regularly). Is scrolling INT gear a good idea? What about other items? Are HT runs a lot more profitable than Zakum or other bosses?
White Scrolls and Chaos Scrolls both have 1% drop chances from Gachapon. If you want consistent but moderate profit from gach, go to Shrine. Shrine gach is dark scroll and int scroll heavy, so at worst, you make 10m off a 35 ticket run and at best you make 400m off a 35 ticket run. I know some people scroll, either with regular scrolls or with chaos scrolls, to make money, but this is all based on RNG. It's not a viable funding strategy in the long term. HT runs are far, far more profitable than Zak runs. I rarely ever go Zak because Gen 20 is so rare. For HT, often, you get no good books. Most of the time, you get mediocre books. And sometimes, you get really good books. For attackers, HT is either -65m or 300m profit. Most of the draw to HT for attackers is the exp rather than the money. So it's pretty rare for level 200 attackers to still go HT. My funding comes entirely from HT, gach (NLC), summon farming with my second bishop (stopperfarming, about 20m per hour), and goby farming with SI (80m per hour in NPCed equips alone), in that order. I don't sell leech because it's less profitable than goby farming (15m per hour less on average) and stressful in both finding a leecher and not being able to afk in the middle.
Nice tips! Just a question, if goby farming nets you 80m per hour and summon farming nets you 20m, how come you prioritize the latter?
I often just chatted to friends and didn't want to put in all the effort of doing the goby farming rotation hahaha! So I had more income from summon farming because it's so low effort. I also have two bishops, and farming Leprechauns was easy for me to do all day, barely moving at all, and talking to people on Skype and in buddy and guild chat. And because I have two bishops, just sitting and talking with people or hanging out with them in other maps on my main was fun while I could still make money on my second bishop in a farming map.
Make a Bishop, grind it to the point where it can 1 hit Ulu 2 mobs, sell ulu 2 leech, take all drops and NPC them aside from good godly items. Very easy mesos, you can easily make billions from just NPCing the equipment and leech money alone, discounting the possibility for 100-400m profit on every chance you pick up a Red Craven.
Don't listen to the whole "make a bishop and gach in nlc" thing. Half of the server have a bishop and is selling ulu leech, most of them are not rich. You won't make 100-50b from selling leech unless you are botting or can grind 24 hours a day 7 days a week like a madman. Too much effort, too small money. Unless you are having a blast spamming gene for 6 hours, forget it. Nlc sucks in the new source since bvm is now worthless and there is nothing else for this gach to offer besides perfect ele wand/ST (which are rare af) and ws, the rest is complete garbage. Shrine is the best gach in game on the long run and you will soon understand why. You can diversify in showa or cbd/nautilus but most of your gach runs should be in shrine. Period. If you want to make big money and not 400m, you have to do the following: 1. Gach mostly in shrine. Best gach in the game in the long run, just yesterday got a cs from an 8 tix run and I have got a lot of cs from there with not huge amount. I actually lost count on my 6th. 2. Use the scrolls from shrine along with other scrolls and scroll items for profit. I have made almost 2b in pure profit recently from just scrolling int robes and I am unlucky with 60%. If not for them, it could have been 4-5b and I didn't have to spam gene for 6 hours to get the profit. I have also scrolled my 120+ int gear mostly myself and it didn't cost me much, buying this would cost me billions. Saved lots of money getting my int gear. Like in the real world, you cannot make huge profits without taking risks, it isn't possible. You can't get rich from 9-5. The risks just have to be reasonable. Speaking of which... 3. Do not chaos for profit. You will regret it, at least on the long run. I know that most rich people on this server are making money from chaosing but how is this possible is beyond me. I have used almost 10 cs on shoes and capes and my best result was 1 att cape. The rest came out 0 att. Well, can't be lucky/good at anything. Oh and merching also works if you know the market well and can take advantage of price movements. If I had more money when gach was released, I would make tens of billions from buying and holding cs/ws when they went down to 250m. It takes time to learn the market though. Still better than selling leech...
Basically you make a 4th job mage with the summoning skill maxed out and afterwards you spend 3 seconds every 2mins 40 seconds pressing 4 buttons and out comes 20m an hour no matter what your doing. You can do this on top of leeching, while chatting with friend, while reading a book, doing computer work, etc. Its the only method of making money that has such incredible flexibility so really everyone should be doing it if they want to be rich especially since you only have to play 60 seconds per hour
