    Hi,
I'm new here, but I've already made up my mind with what I think about the server.
I really like it, because its nostalgic and many people play.
Only problem is, it's really, really, really bugged.
How is that working for you? how is it possible that most quests I tried to do today ended in NPC errors? How is it possible that there are some skills, that do not work AT ALL!! How is it possible that Fame cannot be added by others? these are the most annoying ones, but there are plenty of other pretty important bugs that you do not fix immediately. Things that are basic stuff for playing the game.
How do you expect me to donate my money for this server if you do not even help us find ways around those bugs? You don't want to fix Fame? give me Fame so I can wear w/e I want. You can't even do that.
Why would I want to play as a Spearman, if one of its skills does not work?

So whats the point in playing in your server? Please give me an answer, why do people do that?

Well, one of the things to keep in mind since you're newer here is that by end of last year, this server had a huge upgrade in the source code and all of that, and so since the New Years, developers have been working at the game to restore all functionality.

With that said, if all the missing features bug (no pun intended) you, then refrain from playing in the meantime. Eventually said issues will be fixed.

Look, I've already spent my time for making 2 characters level 50. For me, it's alot of time. I'm not gonna go another server now.
Besides, I do like this server. People are nice, events are great, cash shop items also.
But today I tried moving back from one character to another, and couldn't transfer my pet(with auto potions, item pouch and meso magnet).
It was SUPER annoying, GM's on the chat ignored me, and I doubt it if even one of them could've helped me.
Just trying to show some sides of my experience with this server so maybe someone could do something and make it better, idk.
I can live in peace with the fact that there are bugs in the game. But come on, help us play as the creators of the game intended, give us what we need in the meantime.

Well, I'd venture to say that GMs haven't been ignoring you, we're either busy with other things, or trying to play the game on our legits like everyone else. I spent 4 hours today to use the 2x compensation on my own characters, before that I was busy with RL. I know two other GMs who did the same.
We know there are some things still buggy, but progress is being made every day. Honestly, from my experience, every pserver winds up having bugs and glitches. Some more major than others.
Skills are a priority to being fixed, as they highly affect gameplay. Fame can be received from quests if you need it to wear gear.
The pet thing is a new issue that just popped up after this update, that didn't happen before, and I personally saw your bug report but haven't had a chance to try and pass it along to the devs yet.

Alright, appreciate it. Maybe I am overreacting. It's just frustrating you know, I mean bugs don't get fixed in a few hours or days, it could take weeks for my Cash items to be able to transfer.
Btw, many of the Fame quests are bugged, and many of them are higher levels than things I wanna wear, nothing left to do. Fame is a pretty big part of the game and as a developer myself I can't seem to understand why it is so complicated to fix.

Other than that, thank you for your answer, sorry for overreacting and appreciate the hard work.

What level are you? I've done every quest available on the server currently so I can find a list of quests that give fame within your level range. It's not so much that things take a while to fix because they're complicated, but sometimes it takes a while because it's only a team of two or three people doing various things. The main developer is just Kevin/Karven, Andreas helps with NPCs and Matt assists where he can.

Then if you need some more developers, maybe I can assist.

If you are interested, you can fill out a staff application. With that being said though, we would only be looking for scripters. It's not like we're going to just let someone view the source code for something Kevin has been working on for years only for someone to take it on him.

Of course, just let me know where I fill those.

The Staff Application board is open to anyone interested in putting forward their interest in offering us their services. Find it on the main forum page, and read through the application sticky to make sure you application is appropriate. Thank you for your interest!

As for the glitches and bugs, as it's been said before, our source code is an overhaul from 2016 and it's true, a good number of game features currently don't work. It's important to note that it's not a matter of how hard a bug or glitch is to fix that determines whether or not it's next on the proverbial chopping block - it's a number of reasons that are constantly changing. Fame, while important, does not change the way the game is fundamentally played in a way that, let's say, Chief Bandit's Meso Explosion does, so if one were to hazard a guess, Meso Explosion would be higher on the list... unless perhaps it requires intensive work that may not be worth prioritizing it ahead of another tertiary feature that is equally fundamental in a different manner but much easier to solve.

I hope that that sheds some light on why bugs still exist, and what thought processes go on when we decide what to rectify next.

Ok, after a few days, I really can't take it.
50% of things in the game do not work.
Everything you wrote up here, it's just excuses.
You're making people think it's the best server by telling them vote for NX. Don't buy your votes, make people wanna vote you.
I have been on other pservers, they are not THAT bugged. They just don't have many players, because they don't buy their votes.
Seriously, you can't play a game with so many skills that do not work.
Last few days I changed 2 characters because I found out about a skill that doesn't work. Each time, I had to buy a new pet.
    THIS IS FRUSTRATING

I don't know what other servers you have played. But in my experience pretty much every server asks you to vote for nx. So i find that accusation really silly.

As for the bugs. Yes, a lot of things don't work, but most things are not gamebreaking.

They are not excuses, we really are trying our best to prioritise fixes and roll out updates as swiftly as we can. We are aware that there are still some skills that need fixing, and apart from Chief Bandit's Meso Explosion, most classes' main skills do work and it is very possible to play the game without much issue.

We appreciate the feedback. I would be interested to know exactly which skills were causing you to have to resort to creating new characters so that we can review our skill prioritisation if need be.

Additionally, you will struggle to find a server that doesn't give a reward for voting on gtop100 for the server. I am not aware of a single one.

Hihi kuperman, the staffs are clearly making a lot of progress everyday. Bugs are getting fixed, the gameplay has improved.
They are not just making excuses, you may check the "New Source Update #1 - 32" under the Announcement section of the forum.

Votes are not being bought, there are a lot of people voting simply because we like the server and it's getting better!

I'd have to say then, when 3 GM's are busy on their private accounts and unavailable to respond to people, it might be worthwhile looking for extra GMs.

As much as we want to contribute to the community as a staff, we sometimes wish to have a personal time-off from it by enjoying the game as well. I can't speak for the other staffs, but I don't see how recruiting more GMs will make things any different.

We already know that only 4 gms and two interns isn't enough. In time we will look for more I imagine but it's a slow process, to teach the new interns to a point where they are comfortable without needing assistance for most things anymore and getting our own organization ready for new hires. That doesn't even include admins going through and making sure that suggested people are actually good and have no prior ban history etc.

Because I realize that it's a free service that I can take or leave at will. I can choose to donate or not, and have the same game experience other than the cosmetic aspect.

Furthermore, it's a game. If a bug frustrates me, I can go do something else for a while.

There's a great story about a guy named Sisyphus. Long story short however, he has to push a heavy rock up a hill for eternity, pretty sucky right? Well the take home (although some scholars argue this), is that while life can suck (or servers can be buggy), is that no matter what life throws at you, no matter what has got you down, the only person who can make you truly unhappy is yourself. I understand that's incredibly philosophical, but I guess my point is you shouldn't sweat the small things. Sure the game is buggy in some ways, but hey, you should have saw it last year, and the beginning of this year. The game is improving.

I don't know your situation in game, but you should join a guild, make a side-fun character like an Ironman or an HP warrior. Do some hardcore grinding to Eye of the Tiger on repeat. I dunno, maybe that's just me. If you want, feel free to add me in game. We can chat it out more there, or something.
