My thoughts

If we're on this subject, I think Sascha still has APQ SCG unless he got rid of them recently. Also, I posted a thread about some unremoved items a week or two ago, but I guess it got lost in the depths of the forums.

 

What Sascha did falls under the category of favoritism (even worse; self-favoritism). In my eyes, that's a one-time-only offence and can't be seen past. If a staff member thinks that's a good thing to do, something is terribly wrong. Telling them (or threatening them for that matter) to stop does not help. I wouldn't be surprised if we see something like this happening again. Just saying.

Also, it's not up to me if Alex was treated rightfully. He seems like a dedicated and friendly guy (someone we could use), but if he violates the rules too often, well... Tough luck.

Conclusion: This is ridiculous. Also, I don't personally think having staff issues like these out to the public is a bad thing. We should be allowed to have a say in things. People like to be up to date, y'know.

 

Not answering the poll, as I'm not exactly sure what the question is, but I would like to say thank you to Alex for letting everybody know what happened. It's nice to be put in the picture. Beyond that, I'm not prepared to comment.

 

I still intend to help the server however I can and am willing to "come back on?" Not as a GM but as a wz editor since I was the only one who knew how to do it. As for the event today, I think it's canceled. I plan on being here for the long haul, this isn't a farewell message.

 

The event isn't cancelled as far as I'm aware.

But I think you guys are looking at it in a way of

Sascha did one thing
Alex did one thing.

... Alex did LOTS of things. As the chat says, they apparently been over his attitude and professionalism countless of times.

If this is the only bad thing Sascha has wrong. ( as bad as it is. ) Then I can see why on one bad mistake the actions and such taken were infact taken.

Where as Alex is a repeat offender, and then violated terms to boot...
When you screw up over and over again I reckon you aren't just going to get a warning.
Because you already had a warning. Multiple warnings.

This post proves that he still even in the end was unprofessional.

To me, all the actions and such make complete sense.

 

Chris... No one wanted that. I guess you can't undo it but please at least stay here as a GM. You've always been a really nice guy. You'd go on zak runs for free and help people out all the time, and you were also really cool to talk to. I know you've been here FOREVER and I hope you won't leave because some of us overreacted to some stupid drama. I'm sorry if anything I did led to this, Chris.

 

I think I should've been demoted, your bias is stupid. Sascha needs to be Permanently banned. I no longer work here, and no longer have to go by their standard of "Professionalism"

 

To everyone who has never seen how a MapleServer runs, there are logs and a copious number of other things to show when you abuse a command, or anything for that matter. If Sascha was on a multitude of offences, Matt would be aware and would be able to deal with it.

Where it currently stands, this is Sascha's only offence. So it was dealt with. The items were taken away.

Look at the real world, you fuck up at work, you won't always get demoted, but there is a chance you will. This isn't one of those cases.

Now Alex on the other hand had multiple offences, and multiple warnings. That, my friends, is means for being fired(demoted in this case) in almost any job.

 

My unprofessionalism aside, he still spawned in items for the benefit of himself. This is selfish and stupid. If left uncaught he could have potentially ruined the entire economy, and the entire server, so stop thinking about this as "screwing up" more like, "breaking the law"

 

I don't think you grasp what the "law" is on private servers. You also broke the law; on multiple occasions. You still got multiple chances, so why are you so against him getting multiple chances? He has gone through one chance, you've gone through tons.

Just grow up and drop it.

 

I think what Alex is getting at is that (IN HIS MIND OK DONT HATE ME FOR THIS) what he did is like a misdemeanor and what sascha did is a felony.

Oh I completely get that, and if I didn't, him liking your post definitely clarified that idea. What Alex doesn't understand is that this isn't his server. What he thinks, and what is the truth are two completely different things.

Seeing this and knowing that Mr.Brian , after been inactive for so long (On both charatcter , 'Brian' and 'Thor') and while this time he DOUBLED his nl's range and got a great items such as a 19 att FaceStompers and more, makes me wonder if these items were really made legitely..
However if these items had already been removed OR in the other hand these items were made legitely , then im really sorry sascha.

 

I really thought that the MapleRoyals was flourishing with the recent influx of players and GM's. I also really enjoyed the friendly and fun community and was happy to have had met both Alex and Sascha over the course of the game.
But then this happens and I realise that we live in a world that is not as transparent as it seems. I'm sorry to both parties that this happened and I have reserved my own opinions on this matter but I'm sure that sharing them wouldn't really change anything. Good luck to both you in the future and I hope that both of them still remain active in the MapleRoyals community DDD
