Okay, so I had this idea that we can maybe make a murder mystery game on royals. It'd have to be a pretty big event I think (Like that time we did the haunter house hide and seek one) with multiple GMs but it could be really fun. So say there's a starting map and there's a dead GM in there and there's a clue for like a next map to go to and there will be another etc etc and eventually you will need to find out who the killer was (Probably another GM), what weapon was used (So like a Claw, Spear, Bow and Arrow) and the location (Sleepywood, Leafre, Hene). I think this has the potential to be a really fun game for everybody involved but ofc atm its just a rough idea so I will need more people to help perfect it and GMs willing to host this -kinda excited now don't let me down- <3
Sounds interesting! A huge scale event. This require tons of planning to execute this event. How do you find out the killer and weapons used? By dropping weapons around the map?
I think Alyo’s event is leaning towards Cluedo instead of Town of Salem. Her event requires players to find out the murder weapon, location etc. while Town of Salem is a game of Mafia. I do have plans for Mafia GM scheduled in-game event but that will come later.
What Jen said^ , and I don't know about the weapons haha, was just a thought I think, I didn't even remember it until I was looking through my really old posts and I impressed myself with this one lmao (I possibly was also drunk when I made this who knows (I'm a very cool drunk, clearly)). which also goes to say this is a really old post guys! it's like a solid year before we even started playing Salem!!!!!!
Hide and Seek is the biggest pain to host if I'm being honest, like I love hosting almost all events but Hide and Seek is an absolute nightmare for me since you have to be a skilled JQer yourself and you need to either know the map by heart or keep checking back to the map guide which is super slow and then you get people shouting at you
Just an idea, but perhaps you could customize a map that has several NPCs that give hints about the murderer, e.g. "A murderer as been inside the maple world for approximately three and a half years now." (Which helps you cross of some possible GMs that joined earlier/later than that.) Another option would be coding a map with different boxes, where only one box when opened (by hitting it with an normal attack) will drop a cash shop weapon that can only be equipped over a few items, e.g. "can only be equipped over a claw or bow/xbow". Then you can further this by making another map in this mystery series have monsters that have been coded to drop normal items along with 'abnormal items.' For example, you could have ligators that drop normal things, but also ilbis (not usable of course), which hints that the person was an assassin. Just my two cents on the idea.
