Hi all, Seeing as how people are having difficulty reading the donation page carefully (happened to me as well), most people are missing out on their Donator title. I would therefore like to suggest adding a "Forum account" input box explicitly to the donation form (under the donation options) on the website. Adding this field to the form + modifying the handler should not take a lot of time (it's a plain html form with... php?) and it would save: Matt a lot of headaches with handling requests for Donation status. Or perhaps donate via the forum subscription. It's easy, instant and hassle free! Tho Matt will have to try to configure the settings and stuff for the points to be awarded when paid.
I like this idea. The mockup you attached looks great & it most likely will reduce the amount of confusion about usernames not turning orange.
Reviving this. I recently donated again, but much to my surprise, my PayPal didnt show a note to seller field. This means I'm still not able to get that beautiful coin
@Yoshimitsu - send an email to [email protected] and include your transaction ID and your forum username. On topic: I still support your idea of adding a field for your forum username (it would need to be optional, though, as not all donators will have forum accounts).
Well, after donating for the third/fourth time, I finally found the 'add note to seller' field. It was translated to Dutch and it was hidden pretty well in the final confirmation window (same color as regular text). Despite it being there I still think it would be a nice addition to future donators.
