Dude who gives a shit if someone is selling a map. Just go find another place to grind (there are so many alternatives).
It's not just about wanting to grind there. They just don't have the right (poor phrasing maybe but whatever) to sell those maps. They do not own them. If they're done with the map they should just leave. Sure, people have alternatives. But they shouldn't be forced to use those alternatives simply because someone else wants to make some quick cash. TlR: If you're done with a map, leave.
I don't really mind people selling maps, but I agree that if you're done with the map you can just leave. It would just make grinding a friendlier time.
As long as KSing isn't allowed, this will happen. It's a tradeoff we have to deal with. I vote no. Accept it, put what little GM resources we have into things that have a heavier impact like pq testing rather than meaningless quarrels. If lmpq opened up for instance, gs2 might not be such a source of chaos. Yeah, it's technically against the rules to put players at a disadvantage by holding maps, but it would take an army to lay down the law on this. I do not think the manpower exists to an extent that would allow a fair ruling for everyone.
I believe if you openly sell a map, you are giving permission to others to KS you. If you're an asshole you can be treated as such.
This is so wrong - why should you have to move along once he finds a buyer. It's not HIS map - it's a freaking public map. This is terrible behavior and shouldn't be tolerated.
Because they usually give up before finding a buyer, so you end up getting the map without having to pay a random guy
I don't understand the big fuss. Its not like buying and selling maps is giving any player an advantage or causing anyone harm. I voted no because I believe its fine to buy/sell maps as its a choice. If someone is happy to buy a map let them. I'm more worried about you guys who have this passionate hatred for people who sell their maps... The way you all gang up and bully that person who is selling the map makes me sick!
Yes and no. If you're staying on someones map waiting him to leave and he says he's selling the map and tries to sell it, it should be your map regardless who gives him money. But let's say you're training and then you want to sell it ( no one else was the map with you ) I don't see an issue.
The server owners own the map, not the one who grind at it. They should get banned, as it is idiocy in a new form.
its mroe like getting paid for letting some1 exp in ur spot... whats ur problem? i dont get it... u play maple, ur goal is to grind 6h on gs2, but dont know why i wouldnt let some1 grind at my spot after 3h if he pay me enough for 3h im gonna lose.
While I don't say this warrants banning, I also don't believe this is an issue for the staff, frankly. That also does not mean I believe it to be right by any means. But this is a matter for the players to sort out, as it doesn't technically break rules, and in the past we've seen the staff get overly involved in this sort of thing, when it was indeed a player base issue; that never ends up too well.
See, there's a difference between doing something to prove a point, and just being a prick, Frankly, if they do work on this, it should NOT be high on the agenda, it's too much to moderate with the amount of staff available, and as it is the damn game isn't even fully functional. Although, frankly, it shouldn't be the staffs job to worry about this anyways.
Members can also be worried about a certain case, regardless of it being an administrative issue or player held one. This is one caused by the players, the greedy ones. No need to say that GameMasters are the only ones to feel concerned.

i dont think ur gonna exp whole day on gs2 only to sell it to some1... afking on map means map is free so u HAVE TO exp in time of "holding" it... if some1 wish to sell his spot while exping, let him. opportunity for easy money... even if u wanna hold map for sale u can only hold 1 at time, and u must accualy grind at this moment which might make some ppl bored, and dont think that ppl with 120lvl are gonna hold gs 2 maps to sell since they gain almost no exp there... so... idk. whats the problem? u cant control one than more character. even with sandboxy, only 1 is active while other afk. and tbh... i would buy spot if i had all chanels taken... easier and safier than getting ban for KS...
