Hello guys, I'm wondering what's the minimum magic att requirement for an archmage in order to hit damage cap (199,999). Does anyone know?
@Wolf You thought I was going to meme but nah, I did the math! So I calculated both the absolute earliest you'd see a 199,999 damage line on mobs, meaning that your character is buffed with Sharp Eyes 30, and the 100% rate (no SE factored in) meaning that your absolute minimum damage will still be 199,999. Note that these values are magic levels, and you can use pots to reach them as well. The best magic att pot in game that I'm aware of is Ssiws Cheese, adding 220 magic for 2 minutes. Furthermore, with a level 200 mage and absolutely perfect gear, WS 10%ed, without assuming any chaos whatsoever, has 1700 magic only buffed with MW 20. You can surpass this soft cap by chaosing items, but it's heavily dependent on RNG. So, there's a soft cap of 1920 magic you can have if you only WS all your gear and don't dabble in chaosing, as you're buffed with MW 20 and Ssiws Cheese. Also, the client, including the GM client at least in old source, limits characters to a cap of 1999 magic. I only include all the values for the sake of completeness.
