Since the website rankings only show the top 100 and can't be sorted by job class, I'm curious to know who the highest level a) Islanders and b) non-Islander beginners on this server are.

I'd also be interested to know what's the highest level any beginner has been able to achieve by grinding/PQ-ing/questing/party grinding without outright leeching (ie not contributing to party kills at all).

I know PoorMan is level 89, however I do not know if he is the highest level beginner in this server.

I have to say, anyone who's able to grind a beginner to a high level has my respect - especially if they're an Islander!

I like setting myself challenges (of which getting a HB mule with 80 base str and 8 base dex through 3rd job advance was the most difficult so far), but I met my match trying to pig farm on Maple Island with a beginner! (Maple Island has best pig map in the game IMO, and I wanted some pig heads for quests.)

At lvl 33, having amassed (amongst other things) 13 pairs of Amethyst earrings, 3 x 10% shoes for jump, 4 x 10% shoes for dex, one +12 atk and two +11 atk Garniers, a slot of leathers, 33 pig heads, 9 gacha tickets, 4 AP resets, numerous smegas and over 1.1mill mesos, I decided I'd had enough, and headed to Victoria!

I just turned lvl. 90 earlier today. All I did was just grind. It's my favorite way to play maple. Stone out and kill endlessly. :)
Also lvl. 40 on my Islander. Just grinding on Orange Mushes trying to get and epic pair of white gomushes? and a ton of 10% shoes for jump.....
BTW never leeched, Never joined a party :)
Ranked #1. I know that there was a character named Reach that was 88 but I don't know if that person still plays....

I'm really impressed that you've gotten a beginner to lvl 90+ grinding solo! =)

Btw, I'm interested to know (if you don't mind me asking) what stat build you've gone on your Islander. My reason for asking is that while playing my temporary Islander, I found that while pumping pure str worked ok, adding some dex helped raise the bottom end of my damage range. I've also heard that Islanders sometimes add luk for increased avoidability, once they can 1hko things consistently.

    Ha Thanks :)
My Islander is pure STR build. Can 1hko with a maroon mop. Just raised my max damage to a little over 2500 and I think my min damage is little over 500.
I'm about to start another Islander that's gonna be pure DEX just for fun. :)
Also there's Islanders that use pure INT and toss around a ton of red shells, equip a metal wand or umbrella....
I just wanted to add that no way I'm in any way pro. Beginner is my favorite class to play ever since old school Maple Story before they implemented "Trade Shop" and had a great Maple Island Map. Way before "families". I love only having a few choices in equipment, so you got to make it count. Also grinding and getting stacks of things people need to give for free to people that appreciate it. People in-game can be real douches. But anyway really sorry for the rant.
If anyone needs help or equips hit me up in game. Either PoorMan or my Islander SeaSick and I'm more than happy to assist. :)
