Until today (last server check possibly?) you couldn't buy 2x exp/drop cards and they were said to not work (nobody really knew except the Staff I suppose because they were blocked from being purchased from cs). Now you can, and they don't work. They also last forever, obviously because NX has no expiration date. Spoiler And you can drop them as seen below. Spoiler I don't care about a refund, but others might, who will act first, ask questions later. But you should probably make an announcement asap and get this sorted before more people try it out.
What about the people that don't browse the forums and are in doubt whether they work or not? I've already ran into a few people that bought them thinking you have to do something to activate them, and to find out they wasted their nx. A simple yellow scrolly text on top saying something along the lines of "Don't buy the 2x coupons in the Cash Shop as they don't work. This is a warning, you will not be refunded" instead of having to deal with all the oblivious players asking for it later on. Just a thought...
I've put up a scrolling message warning players that these coupons do not work and asking people not to purchase them. However, I'm not sure right now what we are/aren't doing in terms of refunding anyone who mistakenly bought them.
The scrolly yellow text at the top is pretty much the best example of subliminal messaging I can think of. You will slowly get the idea of 2x in your head the entire day while grinding until suddenly you wonder if you went unconscious and killed your family and neighbors.
