Closed Cannot Log In???

    Problem: It appears to be impossible for me to enter the game following the patch

    Details: I downloaded the new installer from the MapleRoyals website, re-installed the game 4 times and tried to launch the game, but it doesn't work. One of two things happens: the game only opens as a white screen for ~10 seconds then I get the message "MapleRoyals has stopped working", or I reach the character selection screen, and have the same aforementioned message upon clicking on a character. I have tried using the old files, re-installing the new files several times and into different folders, changing the compatibility settings on the client, and turning off my firewall, but none of these seem to have worked.

    Either I have no problems whatsoever connecting to the game, or I will disconnect 5 or 6 times before successfully connecting to the game. For instance, right now, I have tried connecting to the game 15-20 times altogether (on multiple channels and characters), but I just cannot get past the character selection screen.

    @Matty I'm not too good with the technical reasons why this might be happening, do you have any idea?
