I'd like to make it clear to everyone reading this thread that no major decision on this server comes without a full discussion and agreement on the decision by all active administrators. While we may not always share the same opinion, we always come to the decision to make a change based on the discussions from every side of the table, and each member of staff is content moving forward in every case. Whatever an individual may thinks they understand about the mechanisms of staff decisions is their own thoughts, to which they are entitled to. I will warn everyone to be very careful when you listen to the opinions of specific individuals who may be emotionally charged against certain members of staff. This is an interesting suggestion that we have not yet considered. Thank you for your post! A final note - this thread is about Anego Map Ownership. Please keep all discussion on that topic, else we will be forced to close this thread. Thank you.
This is partially why this discussion came about in the first place. The idea for ~mapowner to be the final decision maker in any situation came only from active administrators, when some of us feel that any major decision with the server should come from all staff members, including GM's.
That is what he meant, all of the staff chips in on what they think about a certain situation & come to an agreement before going forward with tough decisions like this one.
Based on the decisions to remove FM-warp button and adding mandatory boat rides even though GM's were opposed to it, I'm not too sure how much weight is given to GM's opinions (player feedback is definitely given little consideration).
With all due respect, this topic is about providing a solution to a problem that has been brought up whereas the topics you mentioned were features of the server that Matt and some others had envisioned for the server since its creation. They're not really comparable and I'm sure all of staff are trying to solve this problem to the best of their ability.
Then let me amend my previous statement, as I misunderstood the (skewed) topic at hand to be specifically pointed at Administrators alone - every active member of staff is heard before a final decision on any change is made at the discretion of the active administrators upon receiving that information. If you believe I am not telling the truth, I urge you to ask the many members of staff who were a part of the decision. A discussion will involve multiple points of view, and not everyone will get their way, but everyone is always heard so long as they choose to speak. And I will once again ask that this topic remain on it's intended subject, however this time it will be final. Any further off-topic discussion will cause this thread to be closed, and that would be a shame since there was actually meaningful discussion on the Anego Map Ownership change.
The mule can just start killing the mobs around me after 3mins and claim that he/she is training in the map. What can anyone say about it? Sometimes life has only 2 options. 1. Be better than the person at what hes doing 2. Suck it up
Thanks for your feedback. They shouldn't be able to claim that he/she is training in the map because my suggested rule is to have "3 minute window for mules on boss map".
Food for thought. Who defines whether the character is a mule and there are certain maps that has bosses in it (Mong , TT) does that mean that we are only allowed to train in that map for a mere 3 mins?
Non-boss attacker class can train there. But during boss spawned, they won't be able to hold the map for more than 3 minute if another attacker arrived with the intention of killing boss. It's very unlikely for a priest to train at himes together with a Black Crow, most of the time he/she would just change channel to get a himes map without Crow. Same goes to Anego.
