IGN: Scandalous Problem: Missing Mallet/Lantern (krex items) Details: This was a problem I noticed a while ago (early 2017) but never got around to posting about; my character Scandalous has been missing his mallet and red lantern since the new source. It has not happened on any of my other characters, and my etc inventory was not full at the time new source came around either, so I can't think of a reason as to why they have suddenly disappeared. I hope I can get these items back. Thanks!
I don't think anyone has lost any items at the start of new source. Did you keep the lantern and mallet in the last 4 slots of your etc inventory? If so they would've been transported to Fredrick, regardless of whether you had space in the rest of your inventory or not.
Honestly I don't remember, but I do sort all my characters' inventories with the inv sorting function. I also know that when the inventory is sorted in this manner, the mallet and lantern are placed quite far apart from each other, so I think it is highly unlikely they were both in the last 4 slots of Scandalous' inventory. If it turns out that it still is not possible for me to receive the items, then please let me know.
If they did go to Fredrick, you will find out as soon as he is coded which should be one of the next updates I think as hired merchants will be making a return soon as well. In the meantime if you really need a new mallet, I do think there is a repeat version of the quest available for players who have lost their mallet.
If I'm not mistaken, you can do the quest to get the Mallet again. Soul Lantern can also be farmed, but it's not 100% drop rate. Other than that, I suspect your ETCs are with Fredrick.
