Is the magic dmg for horntail 7.8k or 9k?

so here i read this hp guide saying ht requires 7.8k hp while another guide says 9k.

is there anyone who can confirm which it is? if horntail does get released soon

 

Neither - 7.6k.
9k is for wings touch damage.

 

Thanks Sila! So me as a ranged player <corsair> nid only 7.6 min HP to get ready for horntail? Woohooo!! may I also know the min HP required to "survive" pink bean as a corsair? ^^ if it is possible to find out

 

Any ranged character can survive with 7.6k, I would recommend trying to get an extra couple hundred HP just for a cushion of sorts. Even though you're a corsair, check out the HT section of my NL guide, it'll show you the general idea on what to avoid so you don't hit the wings. I also have no clue about pink bean, sorry!

It can hit less damage if you have high weapon def. With 600-700 def he hits like 7k damage. It's better to have more though to tank the rocks in the last part with the arms (you'd need about 8500 or so)
