Thank you for everything

Dear beloved Royalers,

This decision hurts more than I ever thought it would, but I have decided to quit the server for an indefinite period of time.
Most of you have probably never heard of me, as I have only been a member in the community for two and a half months. But for those of you who do know me, I owe you an explenation.
I fell in love with this server and the community very quickly after joining. I was extremely active and made friends with so many lovely people. I advanced fast in the game and this reality became my only one. The forum became my Facebook, Discord my Whatsapp, and the Royals community my RL friends. I had neglected everything else in my life, stopped talking to all my RL friends, didn't go out of the house or even out of my room at all. The reason I got out of bed in the morning was to play Royals.
That has been unhealthy for me both physically and mentally, adding to the fact I already am an emotionally unstable person.
Being a member of this community currently holds me back from advancing with my life and reaching my goals, and the thing that made me realize that and open my eyes is my extreme overreaction to two different very close friends from the community who had (seperately) decided to end their friendships with me, for better or worse reasons.
The physical and emotional pain it put me in and the utter depression it brought upon me are not healthy, considering I've only known them for about a month, not to mention the fact it was an online friendship.
Clearly I can not seperate my online life from my real life at the moment, which is why I will have to put an end to my love story with Royals, at least for now.
I'm positive I will return to play one day in the future, as this community is amazing and the staff is doing a great work in preserving the authentic experience and improving constantly.
I want to thank my friends, both players and staff members, who have made my time here so amazing and enjoyable. I hope we manage to stay in touch via other social media.

I came to the forums at some point, and became an active shoutbox stalker. After reading the cool kids's late night conversations and generally reading your in-game smegas, I figured you must be an old veteran or something, I'm quite suprised you are sort of new. Glad I joined the community while you were active though. Figured it'd be a good timing to thank you. As a random guy, being welcomed to a community for the first time regardless of who I am felt incredible. Not to mention the amount of hours I spent chatting with you(and the rest of the amazing communtiy) in the shoutbox that I got paid for. I'll use this farewell as an excuse/motivation to get my ass outside and to try and spend more time in the real world rather than the virtual world that everyone fell into in the past years. I don't know you very well, but I would still like to sincerely thank you for being a nice person. Good luck with everything in life, take care.

Don't let this be a mental blockade. We care about you as a human being regardless of how we met you. That being said, I hope a break from royals lets you get everything back on track and in perspective. Hopefully one day I'll actually meet you in game for the first time. Until then, I'll see you on discord/snapchat ~

 

Even though I don't know you. Online friendships are sometimes way better than rl friendships. So it's okay to have such feelings after they ended the friendship, even if it lasted for a month. a lot of things can happen in a month!!

I hope you'll get better.

sidenote; nice ign (Goed) means good in dutch, bet someone told you that already lol.
