Hi all, Can any admins tell me if scamming on this server or looting gene 20 when not supposed to is bannable? Because I have been recording every Zakum run so far and wouldn't want my work to go down the drain and the scammers to go off free. Thank you.
Best thing you can do is type their IGN in search, see if their name show up on blacklist or not, and it's not bannable, all we could do is to put them into blacklist.
Unless something in the rules has changed that I'm not aware of, scamming is 100% bannable. It just requires you to have sufficient evidence, i.e. evidence that the accused party made a promise to do something and that is all they were going to do; evidence that they did not adhere to this; and that it wasn't a mistake on their behalf that they're willing to compensate. I would link some prior cases to show you the precedent but unfortunately the "Report Abuse" section of forums has been made private.
Thanks for the above responses. Can an admin pls respond for clarity on this issue? Right now I'm recording every zak run at the end when the loots drop, incase gene 20 drops an someone decides to loot it and log off.
This is bannable as long as there is an agreement that genesis will be split and certain person will loot it. If you guys agreed that before starting the run and it drops and someone, even tho it was informed about the agreement, looted the genesis and logged off, thats scamming and bannable. But you have to agree to that before starting the run.
Then what if a buyer loots it and log off? Cause it's common sense buyers are not supposed to touch items unless told, especially gene 20.
Admins please respond, cause some are telling me scamming is not bannable while some are telling me it is bannable. I'm confused.
You must SS the order telling the buyer to hug the wall before starting and also include that they are not suppoused to loot anything. They will be called by name to loot their zhelm.
the people that tell you is not bannable its because mostlikely they are salty they did not have enough evidence for their report. As stan previosly said: You need to have every little piece of evidence of scammin occuring.
Lets say I manage to get all the evidence available and admins approve of it. What will be the punishment of these scammers? And will I get a refund on the gene 20 / items that were scammed of me? If not, that's pretty unfair as I had to go through so much trouble SS and videoing every small detail.
you should be refunded like previous cases and idk how long the ban can be as I believe is up to the staff discretion.
Cause if its a minor 3 day ban then that just wouldnt make sense to me. Scammers are just gonna keep coming back to scam by thinking of new methods like creating more accs since there isnt any dire consequences.
As I said idk the amount of time, its up to the staff discretion. I have seen bans for 30 days and items refunded but the price of the item was 18b or so at that point.
