maple royals shutting down

hey guys im hearing rumors left and right saying mapleroyals is missing to much content so they are shutting down for good. id like to know why there is no content and if this server is really going to disapear. i like this game a lot and id be upset to see it go down right when i start geting close to 3rd job . tell me what you think i wanna know

 

Rumors are rumors. Of course no one can confirm this since we're all players. The last verdict its on the owner of the server's hands.

I dont think it's right to shut down after people have put so much effort into their characters.. If that were to happen, i hope the owner can find someone willing to take up the job ;-;

No one can confirm this and actually there's was a server called "ExtaliaMS" wish was shutdown. This server was have almost 2k dayli players and in just one day they just shutdown :/

But GMs do not risk a lawsuit by a couple of users taking into account, that this is purely recreational.

 

Where are you getting your information from? As a player who knows some GMs and admins, I have not heard one whisper about the server being anywhere close to shutting down. Sure at the end of the day Matt can randomly shut the server down, but almost like saying Microsoft just stop making products because they can. Sure it's "possible" but why? Royals is doing quite well...

Edit: There would be no notice if the server got shut down by Nexon. And this is an older version of maple which has a completely different audience so it's not that similar to extalia.

 

yeah im scared to invest money n more time in case that happens xD like you never know.

 

There's always gonna be a end of anything :/ that's why they called "Recreational".
No one thing will be forever, someday royals and even Maple in general gonna end. That's why you need just to chill out and have fun and if its posible make some greats friends and try to just have fun in anything you do in royals :AYE:

I've once projected the concern for Nexon's new prosecution law toward Pre servers but GM/Admins explained how unlikely it is for royals to be targeted as this server is not located in South Korea - and Matt isn't dumb enough to get caught like the case of Extalia. Having said that I doubt we will be shut down by Nexon. If there is anything that worries me is the chance of server closing down when Matt progresses in life and gets 4 kids etc. etc. and can no longer spend time on this server.

Considering the vast number of complainers we had in the beginning of new source and those who hold a grudge against royals for being banned, I wouldn't be surprised to find 1 or 2 of these rumors.

 

i agree i wonder what happened to "extalia" and that is a good point the korea thing

 

good point ive seen some people talking about this in hene it just came to my attention wanted to see what people posibly knew
