If this is advice for running sandboxie, then you may be better off posting in the actual sandboxie thread.
yea this is a fix for w8, i couldn't find the thread and had very little time to find it! so i simply started a new one , sorry for the inconvenience! Robb it will take a few trys to get the screen to pop up , you'll get a small error at start up sometimes n wont work but just keep retrying , if your still having issues go to properties and compatibility run in 640 X 480 < helps me gets it working from first try!
I was able to find the thread in under 10 seconds by using the forum search too. Here it is... http://royals.ms/forum/showthread.php?t=2693&highlight=sandboxie Forum search is a very powerful feature. I wish more users would take advantage of it! Forum Mod's note: Fixed! I've merged the two threads. Apologies for not doing it sooner!
Still getting the Gr2D error. I've been messing with the compatibility, I've ran the maplestory folder, the folder that's in, and even the C Drive in Sandboxie and still no go.
Have you tried running the file called 'Setup.exe' which should be located in the MapleRoyals folder?
Yeah, doesn't help. The only way I've gotten Royals to run smoothly normally is running in Windows 98 compatibility. Even with updated drivers it doesn't work. Only way I've been able to multiclient is using different users.
did you try changing the the size it runs in, change it to 640x480 screen res <client in admin mode sandboxie in admin mode! also when you open your folder chek if there is a gr2d file located in it if not chek if antivirus removed it!
If it is any help, I had GR2D issues getting MapleRoyals to run in Parallels alongside a Mac OS. Everything ran smoothly after I installed the 'Parallels Tools' that came with it and rebooted the VM. Maybe there is something similar for Sandboxie.
Either you haven't installed the guest additions correctly or you haven't configured the virtual machine's display settings in a satisfactory manner. I find that the 'Enable 3D Acceleration' in Settings > Display > Video > Extended Features is necessary, 2D acceleration is not.
I had neither ticked, but that didn't work either. Strangely, I'm running into all sorts of errors when I try to install my video card drivers.
You don't want to do that in a virtual machine: it uses virtual hardware; the drivers for them are included in the guest additions (which you'll want to install after checking the option for 3D acceleration in the settings).
Interesting. No guide I read mentioned these 'guest additions'. Installed them, now it's working. Thanks!
Sorry for asking if its been repeatedly asked before or so. But how does one differentiate between a user opening two accounts by running two clients (multi-clienting) and two people sharing an account? Or even both accounts? Because I have one mule account and one main account and I open both of them at the same time. And I do not want to be wrongfully banned. I would appreciate it if someone could elaborate to me more about this. Thanks in advance
I'm having major trouble with this. I run windows 8.1 and.. this just won't work. Can someone give me a step 1~whatever of things to try so I can follow it and get back to you if it doesn't work. I get the screen can't grd2,etc,etc error when trying.
