I haven't seen anything else about this on the forum, so I guess it is just me (I hope this is still the right place to report this o: ) I can be on MapleRoyals for an extended period of time and not DC/crash, but when I train at Himes, I get this error. I have not tried training anywhere else since this started occurring, so I could try that and see what happens. I also looked up the error out of curiosity, and I'm confused about whether it is something on my part or if it is the server (though again, I feel like if it were the server, other users would be experiencing the same problem). Here's a screenie of the error: Also, it might be worth mentioning that even though the application crashes, I can immediately get right back on the server after it happens. So it's more of an annoying occurrence as I would rather training stay for an extended period of time training than something major
Does this just happen when you're training, or does it happen in response to anything specific, eg taking a screenshot using the Scroll Lock key?
I thought I recognised this error. See if the information in this thread helps: http://royals.ms/forum/showthread.php?t=3066&highlight=puppet+error
Just wanted to follow up on this - It doesn't appear to have anything to do with monsters using magic attacks, like is mentioned in that thread, because I was having this problem at voodoos. I already had both of the files mentioned in that other post installed, but I ran a "repair" on each of them and I'm now unable to replicate that particular game crash =) edit: An hour later, It just happened again. it was harder to duplicate but is still happening. I crash with the above error anytime puppet takes damage and a monster dies at the same time.
I downloaded both of those from microsoft, but when I ran them I was told I had the most current versions already installed and was only given the option to "repair" or "remove" them, so I chose repair. edit: It may be important to you to know that I'm running the game on a bootcamped mac? I can download and run royals on OS X and see if I get the same issue in the morning. Edit again: AFter attempting for an hour to replicate the issue on OS X, I can't do it. I guess I'll just have to train on OS X and boss on windows.... and never use puppet at bosses.
Sorry to double post, but I have some new and exciting information: Spoiler spoilered to not break the page (large image) GG puppet.
