It seems to me that the XP rates give preference to mindless grinding instead of fun, social and challanging PQ's. Would it be possible to make some PQ's more viable/rewarding
There was a huge buff to some PQs recently so it should definitely have become a viable option by now. I've also seen a lot of people asking for RJPQ recently; when was that even released? I'm pretty sure it's not available in the current source, or is it? Besides, RJPQ isn't even an actual PQ it's just glorified party grinding lol
False good sir. RJ came out in v.64 and was anything but glorified grinding. There was a combo stage, specific stages for mages and sins, pass collecting stage, and others. It was probably the definitely the most varied PQ at the time and the best PQ ever. Fite me.
I remember really liking Magatia PQ! It was interesting that it was one of the only stories that had any sort of plot line.
We should remove the level restriction for PQs so anyone could enjoys them. Moreover, maybe adding a small bonus when you completed a PQ like 100 NX reward might help.
I would be okay with expanding the level restriction (especially until later level PQs become introduced--hopefully), but not removing it completely. If I recall correctly, the old source didn't have level restrictions for KPQ, so I remember doing runs with random Bishops who'd be leeching their low level characters and camp out in stage one. But also it was already very difficult to find a party to begin with, so it was kind of a bad time regardless lol.
I find killing mobs just as mind-numbing as doing the same PQ over and over. Only difference is grinding I can do alone.
I never got past level 35 in real Maplestory but I really enjoyed PQs a lot! It was definitely my favorite part and it's where I made friends from the game otherwise you're kinda isolated away from others. I'd really enjoy if they could make it viable to PQ more often. I don't know if it even exists in this game but the Moon Bunny PQ was pretty chill and easy, and Ludi PQ was always very fun because of how much there was to do.
The most fun I had in a PQ is definitely Crimson Wood Keep PQ (CWKPQ). The fact that it required every job class made it really varied. The boss rounds were fun and the rounds before it was great. Also, the rewards felt just right; good enough to feel satisfied finishing the PQ but not too good that it was abusable.
I agree. Specifically, I'd love for Orbis PQ to have no level limit. I understand they changed the cap from 70 to 80, but that still makes it pretty difficult to get the wristbands after 40 PQs. I don't understand why other PQs like LPQ and KPQ have no limit but OPQ does. The place is always empty too, and I've had many friends ask to join only to realize they were too high in level. Removing the level cap can make more people interested in it. There's even a guild dedicated to the PQ (OPQLovers). If that doesn't tell you people love this PQ, I don't know what would. OPQ is personally my favorite PQ; it encourages being social and it's a fun break from grinding!
I agree. To add on, I would like it if all PQs had their level limits removed until we get the rest of the PQs (Pirate PQs, CMKPQ etc) working.
What about the social aspect? the puzzles? the JQ's? the rewards? Killing the same mob on the same map becomes atrocious within minutes, PQ's on the other hand, many will agree that they are enjoyable for hours on end.
Id love to see PPQ make a comeback! lvl 70-100 Might also be a idea to make a 2 lobby pq area, 1 for the level its supposed to be and 1 for anyone above that lvl req. This way anyone can do any pq when ever they like (if they met lvl req)
feels to me like our playerbase size can't support 2 active lobbies that can constantly sustain parties running in
