Hi guys, a little bit on myself. I'm 22 this year, currently have lots of free time for the next 2 weeks. I started playing maplestory 10 years ago and last played a private server probably like 3 years back. I just had a talk with a buddy whom i met through a private server years back and we are considering to join one. This server seems pretty cool from the introduction video so i'm wondering how is the community like. I personally am never a fan of grinding for levels all day and would like to know how often you guys have events. Also do people just hang around specific places to chat and make new friends? I would love to hear more of what you guys are able to share with me
Hey man, welcome to the forums. This private server is one of those old ones before the bigger crazier updates happened, so if you're thinking of old school Maple, this is the kind of server. The community here is diverse, you're bound to find all sorts of different people because the server does have people from pretty much all over the world playing here. The grinding here is not nearly as bad as before in the real server because of the 3.2x exp, and events happen more often now that the server had gone through a major update that happened since New Years. And as said, there are quite a diverse group of people here, so there are some people that just hang around to chat and make friends, so if you're interested then find out for yourself in game, hehe.
If you are looking for a lot of events, this one might not be on your wishlist, but if you are talking about the community, this is the one and only.
On events, it's being on hold now as we're still implementing it into the game. Hopefully we'll have it soon, because as Kevin said, and I quote "Implementing GMS events should be very easy". So I'm (and other staffs) are looking forward to it!
Just registered here and came to the forum to check out the community. Never wanted to try a private server until coming across royals, seems like the community is nice and turns out the GM is from Singapore as well ^^ Guess we all know how toxic SEA gaming servers are...
