I personally have only ever played bishop, but I do know of many high leveled NLs who have not HP washed. About half of them have remade and HP washed NLs, just because HP washing makes bossing so much easier. It's also worth noting that many, if not most, high leveled players have mule accounts, so if need be, it's viable for them to multiclient and HB themselves. Of the high leveled players who are not HP washed and don't go through the multiclienting hoops to HB themselves, they tend to have friends who are willing to HB for them, as a DrK main or as a multicliented mule. I distinctly remember back when I led my daily HT group that whenever one of the members ran on their NL (level 200 if that matters), their longtime friend who was also in that group would run on his DrK rather than his main, just to provide HB. In the case that the friend with the DrK wanted to run on his MM or hero, the NLs tended to die every now and then, which wasn't such a big deal. I did notice that HTing on them looked quite stressful, having to use Dark Sight when going up the ropes to Heads A, B, and C. Wing touch damage is why the 9.1k HP clean threshold is recommended for all ranged attackers except maybe sair. So in summary, yes, you can technically do endgame bosses without HP washing. But it's rather inconvenient, stressful, and probably not very fun to play. At least from what I see. :p

Regarding to the subject, I wanted to do the same thing but found out that you pretty much have to wash at this point. Which really sucks but I guess thats how the game works. Would love to play an NL without washing, and being able to actually train and have fun in the lower levels rather than having to leech myself/purchasing leech since the base INT has to be somewhat high.

I had VERY little HP Washing done on my NL... managed to get 5500 clean HP on lv150. Haven't played ever since :p But I heard that with HB it should be enough to HT at lv155.

I wouldn't say that its too late. I started washing a little at lv70+ and had only 3.2k hp at lv81. At some point, i thought that my hp was enough so i reseted my int. Im guessing that i reseted it at lv120+ or something. When i was 135+, i learnt that i need to have like at least 8.5k hp to survive HT. So i started to wash again at lv139 (6.1k hp), with the help from my friends cause i wasnt too sure how to do it. I was told to have 140 total int when i level up and i add fresh points into mp, use 2 ap resets per point; -mp +hp -mp +luk. I gained more than 100 hp per level and finished washing at 165 with 8.9k hp.

TLDR: You can start washing but u need to know how much int u must have if u want to fight HT (SoonTM). However, u have to deal with shitty damage and slow level ups.

I think if you put all your ap into int and have some equips you'll be fine, it'll just take you lots of lvls till you "finish" washing.
You can calculate how much int you need to get to a certain hp goal, not sure where you can find the formula for it tho, I'd search the forums for it as it really helps with washing.

Okay so.. I'm not that funded to go above and beyond for 8k+ HP, so I just want to aim for the 5.6k hp + HB to be able to survive horntail..
I'm plan to start washing now a little bit the regular way but I also am going to ap reset straight up -MP +HP to reach that goal, is that bad?
Washing was never on my mind before because of how expensive it is.. but now that I'm higher leveled my thinking had changed and it is unfortunate ):

i don't have a NL but i have a MM with very minimal hp wash, but i don't do HT anyway 5.6k hp + HB is sufficient, having to play other characters just to get yourself funded to reach 9k hp for HT imo is not enjoyable at all. Do what you want.

You gotta put 1 ap into hp and then reset 1 mp into LUK, that's how you wash a nl.
At some point tho, you'll reach your minimum mp for your level and you won't be able to wash anymore, to avoid that, you gotta get more mp, that's why you need more int (from equips and base int), easiest way to get int (if you're not funded) is putting ap in int when you level up, and when you reach your hp goal you just reset it back to your main stat (LUK)
Personally I'd go for more than 5.6k, the more hp you have the better, and getting those 1.5k till 155 isn't hard at all.

To my knowledge, if I'm understanding this question correctly, it is "bad" to use an ap reset to add into hp and take out of mp. (Use ap reset for -1 luk + hp, then use another for -mp to +luk). The reason why you have to do it this way is that once all your ap is allocated into stats, you can't use your mp to generate more AP even if the mp is above the minimum allowed because that would allow players to convert mp into a stat point which would be really overpowered.
The obvious reason for this method being worse is that you lose 2 ap resets to take from mp and add to hp, the second being that this method only gives +16~20 hp per wash.
The better method is to level up, use the 5 "level up AP" and put them into hp. Then reset out by using 5 ap resets to -mp to +luk.
So you only have to use 1 AP reset (cheaper), and this method gives +20~24 hp per wash for some reason.

If that answer misinterpreted your question, and you're asking if you can theoretically keep taking out mp and adding into hp until your mp hits '0'... No you cannot do that, there is a minimum mp for all classes that they cannot go below, and that is determined by the formula ((14*level) +148) for night lords specifically. So in this case the minimum for you right now, assuming you're still level 127, is 1926 (without adding in the mp you're getting from equips like depstar and medal).

Well either way, both those paragraphs of info are good to know I guess.
