Hello royalers How is shadower late game exactly? Do they just use meso explosion all the way ? anyone one wants them in boss run? or can only go with people you know? a very cruious qeustion; can they just use other skills other than meso explosion as their damage output? (I dont really like the idea of dropping money and blow them up as my main attack skill) I like their other flashy skills. was wondering if i can just use those in boss runs insted of ME. SOrry for asking so much, but theses questions has been haunting me for months. Thanks
Try contacting @NamerUse He's a pro shadower who carries my daily zak runs (under 18min). He attacks and drops mesos at the same time, I dunno how but he can prob teach you.
meso explotion will mostlikely be the best dps for the vast majority of all shadowers, it takes a lot of funding to be able to out dps your meso explotion with other skills. Shadowers don't have very good dmg or utility, if you hp wash though your shadower has great potential as seduce mule for horntail runs. Personally i wouldn't want a shadower in my party if he was using assassinate and bstep when he would deal more dmg using meso explotion but i dont know if others care too much about it. I have heard some complaints before from people who main shadowers about not being asked to join boss runs as often as others and so on but I think theres been other shadowers that didnt seem to have a problem finding parties to run with. Also iirc shadowers were somewhat limited to what parts of ht they could actually reach with certain skills.
of course, you can use all of your other skills, but I guess bombing will be always stronger in terms of damage. the best you can do is do both. set up a macro with ((boomerang step + dark sight + assassinate)), while dropping bombs simultaneously, then after a couple minutes until you feel comfortable with the amount of bombs dropped, boom them all. then rinse and repeat! as for people wanting them... not really... people nowadays pretend to be an "elite" party, only wanting the core jobs to do the task, and that's it. I barely see anyone who acknowledges a shadower's playability, or even enjoys bossing with one, not even for the sake of fun nor bonding. BUT don't let that demotivate you. just to watch a shadower bossing is rad!
I just finished duo zak with a shadower, and we have done it in 14mins, meso explosion did 95% of the job.

I can't tell. night lords are way expensivier than shadowers, but shadowers also wear (2) weapons. I guess we're talking about at least ~15b, perhaps. I honestly don't know. it all depends if you really want to be an independent shadower, or a night lord who can't live without a sharp eyes mule...
If you want not booming shadower with good dmg then we not talking only about ur shield and dagger but also shoes,pgc,scg. You really would need quite a gear to actually have great dmg and also depends on how u gonna add ur dex-str (low or high). It's totally possible to have good shad who can compare with some classes just with bstep but I believe in this situation decent nl seems cheaper. But then shad is much more fun >..> for me personally! Also if you don't have any friends who would take u zak or krex then it's gonna be hard for you (nl would def be much more wanted 100%). Shad also require some basic knowledge when comes to booming and combos which I would recommend at least from time to time. If you want good and simple attacker I would go with nl. Ps. You won't out dmg booming.
Spoiler: The great shadower mystery unravelled. Place dark sight, assassinate and bstep on a macro and then bind that macro to V. That way, when you're pasting the meso amount that you're dropping, you'll also attack.
