Yes, I do. The stupidity and blatant ignorance of solid evidence and convincing arguments some people show just makes up for hilarious scenarios.
Most appeals these days end up looking something like: inb4 infraction EDIT: In all seriousness, some appeals I come across are pretty much things that need no staff involvement at all but, those usually end up being the funniest.
I will admit to the occasional one being amusing, but for the most part, I find that having the responsibility of weighing things up, investigating and trying to make the right decision negates the popcorn factor, as does getting offensive PMs from people who have been fairly banned! >_<
Like Christine said, they're enjoyable but also frustrating at times. A lot of things just do not warrant a report that then wastes the staff's time. =/
Sometimes "dey tlk lik dis nd get mad bout no undrstand pl0x unban me stpd gm", and it's hilarious. I feel bad for the staff sometimes, as the do look into every appeal equally, and they have to present themselves in an articulate manner. When I ran my server, if someone was really being annoying about a ban and justly deserved it, we would unban them and throw them on a map with no portals, then had a custom npc that checked charid, so anyone could come and go the map except the person we banned. Quite hilarious!
The one thing I love is that the T&C clearly states that hacking will lead to a permanent ban. Then someone writes an entire freaking novel that's over a page long begging for forgiveness and the GM goes, ''sorry nope''.
Yes. Then I get angry at specific posts, reply to them, and make things even worse. This guy knows what's up.
