Can someone tell my why I've been unable to wash for the last 3 levels? I'm a level 55 bandit, and I was able to wash a few times at level 52. Since then, I have been unable to wash. I have 41 int every time I level up.
Ok I figured it out. Optimal HP washing 1. Buy int equips, wear them before leveling up. The more int, the better.(higher MP is gained) 2. You can HP wash every time you have enough MP(higher than lowest MP due to int equipments), or you can use method 2 below to AP wash at ONCE at a high level. So you don't need to check your min. MP every time and AP wash every time you level up. Just do it at once when you get to high level and need more HP for bossing. Method 2 Step 1. You need to add at least 1 point in HP first. Step 2. Use AP reset, -mp and add hp. Step 3. You can keep repeating Step 2 till you hit the minimum mp.
Each class has an optimal method, your class might or might not get the most out of method 2. (Don't use method 2 if you're a thief. In Short Job, Using AP from level up to gain HP, using AP from AP reset to gain HP Beginner, +8~12HP, +8~12HP The Same Warrior, +50~54HP, +50~55HP Slightly better Thief, +20~24HP, +16~20HP Much worse Bowman, +16~20HP, +16~20HP The Same Magician, +6~10HP, +10~20HP Much better Pirate, +16~20HP (+36~40HP for Brawlers), +20HP (+40HP for Brawlers) Much better
Thieves take away 14 mp per wash. With 41 int, you're gaining 4 int over the minimum every level - so if you went to your minimum mp at level 52, 56 should be the first level you can do a wash at again. That said - with meso guard, bandits don't really have any need for washing.
Adding all the points to HP at once at lvl 52 would be incredibly stupid for a thief, as you would use twice as many resets, plus you'll be gaining 4 hp less on average for each point you put in HP. Your wrong about the MP it takes for a thief to take a point out of MP, it should always be 12 MP, so you'd be able to do it again at lvl 55.
Haven't washed my thief in a while, so I couldn't remember if it was 12 or 14. Before I edited, I had written 12 and 55 instead of 14 and 56. If it's 12, then I have no idea why he wouldn't be able to wash at 55 which he stated he was unable to do. Also, what does washing down to your minimum mp have to do with level, and what does it have to do with HP gained? How does going all the way to your minimum at all affect your number of resets used? And with only 41 int, I'm quite sure he's within 10 or 12 washes, meaning he could certainly have washed to the minimum using the direct-to-hp method rather than the continuous-point-cycle method. Edit: rethought my math here. If he washed AT 52 down to minimum, then he gained 4mp at 53, 4 mp at 54, and 4 mp at 55. He should be able to wash again at 55 because 4+4+4 = 12.
You have a certain minimum amount of MP at each lvl. Being closer to minimum MP has nothing to do with the amount of HP gained. The only thing that affect the amount is if you add an point to HP gained from a lvl up, or you add a point using an ap reset. For thieves, adding a point to HP using an AP reset is much worse. The optimal method for hp washin as a thief is adding points to HP when you lvl up and not from an AP reset. It does not. Method 1 uses 1 reset. Method 2 uses 2 resets.
I don't know how you got that idea, any thief job get the same HP from adding a point to HP. Job advancement give you HP and MP you can freely use for washing, so I'd most def recommend taking the job advancements.
hehe, I think it's simple, and I'm trying to make it sound simple too, guess I'm not too good at that part. Which is why I'm making a video showing both methods
Yes, in the same way as int given from equips. Note that MW only affects base stats, not additional stats from equips. The most efficient mp -> hp conversion is with level up ap for a thief, so no. If you have 700 int total you'll need roughly 6 washes a level, which means you're going to have to use a less efficient washing method regardless.
I am making a corsair, so I am likely to use method 2 because it is ideal. Do you only need to put one AP point into HP then you can wash MP -> HP indefinitely? Say you use this method and hit minimum MP. If you gain a level and now you have enough MP to wash, would you need to put another AP Point into HP (essentially making you lose out on one Str/Dex) before you can wash MP -> HP again? Thank you in advance to whoever answers this question.
Yes. I've been doing this on my bucc. Add one level-up AP into HP, wash MP into HP as much as you possibly can. As long as you don't wash into a regular stat (negating that first point you added into HP), you can keep doing it. You can always get that stat point back when you need it, be it from taking out of hp (only choice if your mp is at the minimum) or mp.
You can wash them all at once if you wish, but you will get more HP from washing the points you get each level on the spot, as a thief. Yes. Yes you would need to you use 2 resets to just put one point in HP with that method.
Sorry but you are confusing me now. Just to clarify if you put an AP point into HP, you can wash MP -> HP as many times as you want until you reach minimum MP. Even if you go to minimum MP you can still wash this way when you level up and gain new MP without needing to put another AP point into HP... I'm thinking this because Ague said this in the post before yours. Ague, as you have had actual experience with method 2. Does it really cost 2 AP resets for 1 wash?
