Whoops, must have been a typo because I copied that off someone's suggestion and they did write 80, not 90. Haha. Fixed Thank you!
Just wanted to add a suggestion - Master Chronos are better exp and money from levels 40-50 than Platoons. Master chronos drop Helm dex 60% scrolls which can sell for a good amount- great for clerics just starting out. Level 5 MP eater seems to be perfect at selkie JRs- I don't have to use a single mp potion there. Spend the rest of that SP in teleport for sure, since we all know how much everyone spams tele the second you get even 1 point in it. lol Can max MP eater later on. Also about level 1 door: 30 seconds may not seem much, but all your party member needs to do is town scroll back, repot/recharge, and then you can door them back. Memorize the locations of where door is at for each town (like how in NLC it's above the sphinx near the yeti, in Leafre it's under the VIP taxi) and you can direct your party member to wait by the door. Maxing it later is super helpful, especially when dooring entire parties to zakum or what not- but level 1 early on is effective. Edit: Now that I'm awake, I wanted to say a good alternative to Selkie's at lvl 50-58 is Coolie Zombies. Great EXP, great money. Perfect map and lots of fun. Just be careful on the walk up (or get a tele rock and save the location)
Hi Sila, thank you so much for your input! I'll add your suggestion of Master Chronos along with Platoons (I will leave platoons there though as I think they're a pretty nice spot - their map is fantastic and they have massive spawn). I agree on having level 1 door and I've already suggested that 1 point be placed in it almost immediately. I'll also add your suggestion of Coolie Zombies! Thanks again! edit: Which map do you suggest for zombies? I've never really utilized that training ground so I'm not sure if there is a preferable map for it.
I personally like the third map because the spawn seems much more consistent and the map is smaller than the previous 2. The fourth one's spawn is a bit lacking. The last picture is down.
Third map for sure. There's also a platform you can safely afk on, a rope you can rebuff on, and better spawn imo.
Equips Ranked in Importance 1) Wand/Staff - You're going to be Lukless so stick with the Maple Weapons and the various Elemental Wand. The Elemental Wands do not decrease Holy Damage like it does in Big Bang so Bishops can freely spam Genesis without much worry. End Game: 190+ Total MAtk Elemental Wand 5-8 2) Zakum Helmet - A ~15 INT boost is worth the 100M investment. There isn't going to be another cheap opportunity to increase this which also give a hefty defense boost (150 to both Weapon and Magic Defense). The Defense is pretty important because you're going to be to using mostly lower level equips because of you're Lukless status End Game: 30+ INT Zakum Helmet 3) Earring Scrolled with INT/MAtk - The 10%/30% gives a total of 8 MAtk each scroll and they're quite expensive which is why it's not higher up, but don't be afraid to spend some mesos on these because they give the best boost available via scrolls. Get yourself a 5/10 earring to get started and once you get your above ranked equips in line, you can scroll your own with 10%/30% and finish it with a few 60%s. End Game: 12/20+ Earring (Preferably Crystal leaf Earrings with it's extra slot (6) and 3 MAtk clean) 4) Overall Scrolled with INT - This item can be the most expensive and most easiest item to score because of it's dual use of HP Washing. Scrolls are very costly, but you ideally want to get a ~15 INT one because any higher than that and you're looking at a 500M+ investment. If you're feeling lucky, you can scroll one yourself, but if you haven't had any of the above, I suggest sticking with a lower INT one. End Game: 25 INT+ Sauna or Lower Luk Mage Robe 5) Purple Gaia Cape Scrolled with INT - This items can be hard to get because people usually keep their scrolled PGC and sell the duds, but you can scroll one yourself. They come clean usually with 5-7 MAtk, but I've seen some go upwards of 9 MAtk. Cape for INT 30% and 60% are cheap enough for this item to go a bit higher, but you can easily invest more money into something else and get a bigger bang for your meso. End Game: 20+ Total MAtk Purple Gaia Cape 6) Maple Shield Scrolled with MAtk - This can be your most pricey item because like the Sauna, it can be used as HP Washing, but if you scroll your own, it should be that bad. However, the 60% for MAtk is astronomical and you're going to need to flirt with Dark Scrolls to even stand a chance with getting a decent end game shield. Although the 30% give 8 Total Matk, the chance of blowing up is very high seeing as the shield has 10 slots and you can get impatience with the 30%s and 70%s. End Game: 30+ Total MAtk Maple Shield/Maple Magician Shield 7) Deputy Star - The Deputy Star helps a bit and it's the best pendent available in game. At around 70M for 5 INT (And 5 Luk for eventual Low Luk equips), it's a decent investment and you can chaos this for a bit more INT. End Game: 10+ INT Deputy Star 8) Gloves Scrolled with MAtk - The reason why this is quite low is because the scrolls don't give much MAtk for the huge investment. However, it's still a good boost if you're willing to spend the money and scroll one yourself. A 12+ total MAtk should be around 200M-300M, but if you compare that to the above equips, it's best to get those first than investing in a glove. The 30% gives 6 total MAtk whereas the 60% only give 2 MAtk. End Game: 24+ Total MAtk 9) Yellow Snowshoe or Low Luk Mage Shoe - These come pretty cheap, but at most, you'll probably only get 3-4 INT from them. Anything higher than that and you're looking upwards of 100-1.2B for a 4-8 INT Yellow Snowshoe. (To be continued) I'll continue this and flair it up once I have a bit more time, but this is a start. I can get really wordy at times and the pictures can be quite flashy, so bare with me once I'm done
Nice guide ~ I'd like to put in my two cents from my experience making Bishops as well. As a solo cleric during most of 2nd job, my preferred build is this: 1 Teleport Max Heal +12 Teleport (13) Max MP Eater Max Bless Max Teleport 11 Holy Arrow This is directed towards someone looking to go to the ghost ship as early as possible. I believe that 13 teleport is the required level to teleport up to the correct step to hit both rows in GS1 GS2 and GS5. MP Eater next to take away the need for MP Potions, and Invincible to reduce damage taken if you decide to be more active and mob them all rather than being a statue on the stairs. For this next section, pardon my CB fetish as a priest. Something I like to do at 65+ is take full advantage of any bandit friends that I have. If I have a friend that I know is going to hit 70 before I do, I'll tell them to add 1 point into meso explosion first because that allows a level 70 CB and 65 Cleric to train together there efficiently. CB drops 30 sacks while cleric mobs. All 17 Himes die in seconds. This works 200 times better if the CB has a meso magnet since Himes drop less than he's dropping (I've often lent out my meso magnet for this purpose). This is an amazing training method for them throughout 3rd job and it's a great way for you to get to your next checkpoint, which for me is level 85-90ish Always Keep Chief Bandits in mind throughout your career as a priest. After they get MG at 72, they can easily bomb HH very quickly and with maxed ME(Could be as early as level 80ish), they can bomb BF easily in 20-25 minutes at a cost of only 6m to them. Add them, teach them to use ME efficiently, and wait for them to ask you for HS . I often only call for HS when what I'm killing is about to die to not waste the priest's time, though I let them know ahead of time. As for Wolf Spiders... I've always found them to be terrible exp since it's pure leech. Most, if not all of the people you usually find are too weak to allow you to gain good experience(No offense to them because it's usually fresh 3rd jobbers so they're not expected to be amazing yet). If your mind is set on leeching then I'd recommend ditching WS ASAP. A decent place at level 82+ is Dual Ghost Pirates. It's an amazing place for warriors so if you can convince them to go there, they'll probably love you. Most players blindly just go to the most popular spots, ignoring other options that might actually be a diamond in the rough. I personally went there at 74 on my warrior so it's not limited to you being 82+, but as it's pure leech, GS2 is probably still the better option at this point. My priest friends have said it's better than GS2, but I'm not convinced. I mentioned that a checkpoint for me is 85-90. The reason for this is because that's when I like to start killing himes on my own with Shining Ray. Always try to find a partner within 5 levels of yourself before 95. Another priest is actually an amazing partner so keep that in mind. My advice to anyone making a Cleric is to not focus on getting amazing equips at all until later in your career. You'll make a ton of cash throughout your time as a Bishop so don't struggle to be amazing before that point. It's too stressful xD. Basically all you need is to be lukless and have the correct wand for your level. It's not really until you're a bishop that it matters more, and even then it's not too hard to obtain 2HKO skeles. 1HKO is where it really gets expensive. I'm not sure what it's like now because I haven't been back to royals for too long, but it always made me sad pre-wipe when 90% of the Bishops I saw were nothing more than leech mules and settled for 2HKO. I had a sense of pride in when I obtained 1HKO Skeles at ~170 and I wish that others could get as much fun out of the class as I did.
