The patch files take about 1.6 gigs of space, and i think that's roughly the amount as the regular space of the whole mapleroyals. Is all that space the whole mapleroyals + The patch, or just the patch? If it's the whole thing, how do I only download the patch files and not the whole other 1.6 gigs, cuz i wanna conserve space. Basically can someone explain to me what happens when you download it, like would I actually lose 2 gigs of ram in my harddrive? Here's some fake money.
You download the whole new client, patch and all, together. Since almost every .wz file was changed, they decided it's best to just update the client instead of people trying to figure out how to just change files.
The mapleroyals used about 2-3 gigs on my hard-drive. Will the update take up another 1-2 gigs, because it says the patch file uses about 1.6 gigs? EX: If I have 100 gigs on my hard drive, and got 98 after installing maple royals, will installing the patch get me to 96.4 gigs left, or will the whole maplestory take up 2 gigs, and it just puts the necessary updates? Also, can I uninstall the "mapleroyals before the patch" and install the "mapleroyals after the patch?" Thanks Doritos, I meant gigs in the hard drive, not ram
The new patch is actually a complete new Setup of the game. So the 1.6GB is actually the entire game's installer. You can delete the 2-3 gb of old files if you want. Yes, you can delete/move away the old files and install the new files. If you wanna keep the SSes though I suggest you transfer them out before deleting.
