Just something I'm wondering - in 2015, 2 years ago it was announced that the new source will feature multiple guild alliances, and as far as I can recall it was functioning on the test server. What happened to that? How come it's not functioning atm?
It's quite obvious isn't it? Things needed fixing. Those were just snapshots of what's to come. What actually happened is beyond my knowledge. But like I said, guild is being worked on now.
"Things needed fixing" - "Multiple Guild Alliances are fully functional along with the Guild Alliance Tab." These weren't just snapshots of what to come, these were features that were said to be released with the new source 2 years ago, were working on the test server and are nowhere to be seen now. I'm not complaining or anything, and I have no doubt you're working on fixing other important stuff, I'm just curious as to what actually happened.
So, I like this little blip. Taken with a grain of salt from a third party site, the general point is shit happens. You can plan all you want but sometimes something happens (exploit occurs, DDoS, etc), and it delays other important stuff that isn't as urgent. Nothing is being forgotten, it's just a matter of priority, which unfortunately doesn't always align with what players want as there are certain limiting factors on the staff end (Stuff only Kevin can do vs. things Andreas can do, etc). It's no mystery a lot of was supposed to happen with the release of the new source and some (or a lot, lol) didn't happen or go to plan, but you can only move forward. That's all pretty robotic and sounds planned though; my point is stuff is happening, and that pesky Q4 stuff I crossed out doesn't happen because Matt took away all our pens and pen caddies. (Kidding lol, no one take that last bit seriously)
