So when I run the setup everything is fine until I get to "Decompressing MapleRoyals.msi" then I get this weird message: http://prntscr.com/4341ol I've tried everything; disabling firewall, disabling anti-virus, restarting my computer, running as Administrator, and re-downloading but nothing will work. EDIT: Well after an hour trying to figure out how to fix it I just went ahead and downloaded MapleStory v62 from another website and replaced it with the needed .wz edits. But if there is a link to the character.wz and npc.wz edit, would someone mind providing me with it? I saw my file sizes were different than the needed size.
This is a Microsoft Windows Installer error. It can be caused by insufficient disk space, Temp folder permissions, or a corrupted download of the installer. To resolve this issue, please check/do the following: Verify that you have sufficient disk space on the drive our software is being installed Verify you have the proper permissions to the file path listed in the error message Verify the user has Admin privileges For Windows Vista and newer, right click on the installer and "Run as administrator", (Right Click >> Run as administrator). Download a new copy of the setup file from www.royals.ms. If you still are unable to run the installer, clear out your Windows temporary file folder and try again. To clear your Temp folder, please run Disk Cleanup.
Had the exact same problem, same message. Solution was simple: Solved it by cleaning more space for disk C:
I'm pretty sure I have enough disk space (276GB free on C drive) but I still got the same error. What do I do now? ;(
I've done all of those and still get the message. I have over 100 GB of space so that's not an issue, I've cleared my temp folder and ran a disk cleanup, still get the same message when I try to run the installer. As said above, though, if there is a list for all the custom .wz files like the Character and NPC.wz's then that would be great, those are the only edits I'm missing for this server, I went ahead and downloaded clean .wz files just in case the server I downloaded them from had edits, and still the same problem. Or if you've uploaded just a regular .rar file without the installer then that would most likely work, too. Sorry if I'm making this complicated , just don't know what's wrong. EDIT: Silly me, didn't see the downloads page already had that. EDIT2: Downloaded all the .wz files and everything is working fine.
I too got it working - I cleared out my temp folder and just kept downloading the client until I got a non-corrupted one. Sweet
