Since people are inching ever closer to 200 and there are no prospects of a future wipe I'd like to suggest implementing an NPC for every character that reaches 200. I remember them doing this in GMS, with the NPCs in the first job instructors rooms. They had a little chat box that said something along the lines of "I'm ______ and I've reached level 200." Personally I think this would be a nice way to commemorate the level 200s for all the time and hard work they've put in. Also they don't have to go in the first job instructors rooms, although that'd probably be easiest. But a Hall if Heroes could be constructed or they could go in the FM entrance somewhere. Just a thought.
If this were to be done manually, this would require (at least) 1 .WZ file update. I agree that it's a great idea, though. 1 map for all Level 200s is enough, too. They should also be put in order, so to speak; the first to reach Level 200 (probably Ty) should be at the front, of course.
In the later versions of maple story, there was a portal in each of the Job instructor rooms, with a pathway to the level 200 room. But there could also put a hidden portal on the far right side of FM, like with the Christmas map.
New suggestion! Put the map in the tree in the fm! It looks like it has a portal in it's trunk, and its in the FM. Perfect spot for such a room!
Weren't the level 200 NPCs always in the same map as the instructor? (I know that in later versions Nexon made it a different room--when leveling became easier).
I really like this idea, this would be a nice addition to the game and it would encourage all the new players to try and make their mark on the game as well. In my opinion this would be a positive addition!
I like the idea of having them with the instructors. Nostalgia, amirite? I don't really see the appeal of having a map in the FM for them. Could someone explain some reasoning on this?
