Female Shadower main here, not so much a gripe or complaint as if no action was taken, I would still be content but, hear me out: Something that I find incredibly difficult to cope with is this: GS2 mobs drop Dark Pirate set for males, yet where do the female equips drop? MDT, Thanatos. Have you been to those maps? Huge, low spawn, way too many different equipment dropped by the mob itself. Chances of getting the top or bottom are incredibly low, and chances of getting a perfect one? I'd wager 1/10000 gazillion. I hunt MDT every single day, for hours, because if it isn't Dark Pirate, it's not worth. If it isn't perfect stats, it's not worth. Here is my suggestion. Add female top/bot to GS map so that female players won't have to endlessly hunt a mob no one hunts for a top and bottom set they can be proud of. If nothing changes, I won't complain. I'll just keep hunting MDT's until a set drops, but it would be greatly appreciated if we could level the playing field for female thief. Thanks~
My main gripe with this suggestion is that nearly every class, male or female, has equips that are hard to aquire. So i don't see why this should be changed.
Compare the mobs that drop the male set to the female. If you don't understand why I'm asking what I'm asking, try comparing that same list until you figure it out. As I said in my initial post, I won't be outraged if nothing changes, it's just a suggestion.
for what it's worth, rogues are one of the best classes for the MDT map because you can get around quickly.
I agree with the OP tho. Not just thief class. Warrior class male top and bottom are significantly more common than female top and bottom. That's why female warrior top and bottom with the same stats (scrolled) often cost at least twice compared to the male version.
Female warrior tops aren't that hard to find imo, people just don't scroll them as much I feel like. I know I used to make them back in the day. I believe ToT has the best drops for warrior skirts and it isn't TOO terribly hard. Ngl, I couldn't be bothered with female equips for NL so I just made a male one lol.
Majority of the male warrior top and bottom supplies are from popular leeching area though. The ratio of people who leech and grind at skele has to be at least ten folds more than people who grind at tot. Therefore, IMO, the price difference is due to the sheer number of supply difference on top and bottoms that are worth scrolling (high stats).
That is very true. and I'm glad to be a mobile class. I don't see any change being made, thus I will continue my everlasting hunt until I find my own.
Most of the good female thief bottom equips drop from slightly unpopular mobs and Female Warrior equips drop off ToT mobs which for any class not a mage takes some time to farm. I think for these reasons a lone i might start farming these maps just to take advantage of the low supply. Otherwise im fine with Female equips being rarer. Gives some reason to farm these places that drop them that a lot of players otherwise wouldnt bother going to. I say this while also having a majority of female characters.
I have no problem with female equipment being more rare. Just stating the fact and agree with the OP that there is a disproportion of clean male and female equipment supply due to the drop location. Almost all my characters are female as well because I like girls not boys :^)
Bumping up this thread, any words from staff so far regarding this? Finding a good female warrior/thief top/bottom is quite challenging in comparison to male counterpart. You can even put them to drop at maps that aren't tier1 leeching spot, for example goby map or sky nest 2. Switch around the shoes drop list since 9/10 players don't really use them.
Yeah but that isn't usually the top that most thieves are looking for, we tend to search for a dex bottom and luk top. And unfortunately the blue one is dex one D:
personally don't think female warrior top/bottom should be changed since they're better than male. If they were just as easy to obtain i don't see a reason for even making a male character since you're just going to end up with less stats.
